Pancho Villa — Restaurant in Grundy Center

I had heard that Pancho Villa has really good food so, we were already in Grundy Center Iowa and stopped to check this place out. I ordered bacon wrapped shrimp,rice, refried beans, guacamole sour cream etc.. I couldn't believe the amount of food sitting in front of me!!! 12 deep fried bacon wrapped shrimp etc... The food was absolutely delicious!!! I had to ask for a go box which is very unusual for me!! Our Waiter was very friendly, answering any questions I had regarding the food before I ordered. Open bar, the amount of seating could hold so many people!! They have so many options of breakfast menu and lunch and dinner options were unbelievable!! Prices are great for the amount of food you get. Very clean restaurant!! I recommend Pancho Villa to anyone who enjoys this type of food!! I'll be going back...

Holy smokes. This place is a gem. I've lived in Mexico for a winter and have pretty high expectations for Mexican food. The setting is clean and pleasant. My Paloma was fizzy lime grapefruit perfection 🥰. Husband got a modelo. We ordered chili toreados (grilled large green chilies) and they had a lovely blistered crunch. Blanco queso for our chips, both were warm and perfectly seasoned.

My meal was carne Asada, with fresh sliced avocado and tender grilled steak. My refried beans were not greasy but had a fresh clean taste. Rice was cooked with a yummy bullion and had only small vegetables.

The food made my dad and I sick I only tried 1bite of his food. He got the San Diego burrito. I threw up while at the restraunt and my stomach hurts. My dad didn't throw up until we got outside of the restraunt and then we sat in the parking lot for about 10 minutes. Once he thought he was done we finally left. He pulled over 2 separate times on the way home to throw up. Once we got home he threw up and then his stomach got upset so he had to run to the restroom. We both had the experience of throwing up and it wasn't like normal throw up instead it was almost like slime and barely wanted to come off the tongue. We will...
