Rex Cream — Restaurant in Guayama

The service during my visit today, Tuesday, September 2nd 7:10pm in the evening, was excellent. The young lady who attended us was very patient, kind, and explained everything clearly, which I truly value and appreciate.I find the policies regarding payment methods to be somewhat strict. I understand that Puerto Rico law requires at least two payment options, but setting a minimum purchase of ten dollars at an ice cream shop feels a bit high, especially considering this is a historic and touristic location.I was also a bit disappointed that no samples are offered. For example, I ordered the soursop flavor (my favorite fruit), but it wasn’t to my liking, and without samples, the experience feels limited for customers.For the service, I give 5 stars, and for the ice creams, 4 stars. My recommendation would be that, while maintaining the traditional charm that distinguishes Rex Cream, the shop could update certain aspects to further enhance the customer experience.Once again, I truly appreciate the excellent service we received and hope these constructive observations may be taken into...

Tan emocionada que estaba de volver al pueblo de Guayama con la familia después de tantos años. Decidí llevar a mi niña, mi mamá y unas amigas a ver las luces del pueblo y a comer en esta heladería. Me decepcionó mucho que mi niña de 4 años pidiera una vaso pequeño con sabor de vainilla y luego me pidiera un poco de sabor pistacho, cuando le pregunté a la muchacha que si le podía añadir el sabor me dijo que NO porque tienes que pedir otro vaso de tamaño mediano (precio adicional) para que puedan ser dos sabores, rápido le dije que le pagana adicional pero renuente dijo que NO. Luego que terminamos el pedido para todas compramos alrededor de 8-9 helados, mi niña de 4 años pidió gomitas en su helado y nuevamente le pregunté a la muchacha si me hacía el favor de ponerle UNA gomita encima de su barquilla y nuevamente me dijo que NO. Ella se fue para la cocina y me dejó con la palabra en la boca y la otra dama me atendió y dijo que me iba a dar las gomita en una bolsa y le dije que iba a malgastar la bolsa porque solo quería 1 o 2 gomitas para el helado de mi hija. Nunca en la vida de todas las heladerías que he visitado me había pasado esto, y es triste que sea aquí en tu país y tu propia gente. Entiendo que haya un “protocolo “ cómo me dijo una de las muchachas, pero que le costaba hacer feliz y sacarle una sonrisa a una niña emocionada de comerse su helado porque al final no era de gratis yo pagué todo y estaba dispuesta hasta pagar más.
