Pa's Place — Restaurant in Guilford

Exploring small eateries closer to home is at the top of my to-do list in 2024, and starting with Pa's Place was a total win. I needed to burn off some anxiety while waiting for my husband's surgery to finish, and one of the nurses was kind enough to give me some ideas on where to go. Naturally, I immediately got lost, but it resulted in my stumbling into this gem, so no complaints here.

Pa's is set right beside the water with easy access to parking. They have an outdoor pickup window, patio seating and live music in the warmer months. The inside is small, but solid. The furniture is beautiful and sturdy. No wobbly tables at Pa's! There are some long seating options, too, so it would be easy to bring the whole family.

The menu has a lot of options, which I love. I settled on Pa's Cubano with sweet potato fries and maaaaannnnn did it deliver. Salty, tangy, a little bit sweet, and the cruch factor was on point! The perfect combo if you ask me. The fries? BOMB. 10/10 will go back again. I can't wait to bring my husband there once he heals up!

Highly disappointed. Cannot rate the service or food because their website said they were open and called the restaurant several times no answer. The mailbox was full. If they were going to be closed they should have updated their website to state this. We would have wasted an hour to get down there and back. Will give it another try. We even had our dog ready to go. Was in this business for years so hoping this was an oversight on the management. We saw them advertised on channel 3 the other week and decide then to come Monday to experience the locale, the ambience, and food offerings. We looked forward to it all weekend. The food was really good and the menu had a lot more options than I would expect. The kid at the counter was a little spacey but he was OK. There were some pesky bees outside that kind of hurt what would have otherwise been a really nice vibe on a warm and pleasant evening. My biggest beef is that I my wife and i got 1 burger, 1 salad, and 1 drink and I still got whacked for 24 bucks. Burger was really tasty but comes with nothing, no fries, no chips, no garnish. The salad was really good, well made and appealing. I recommend this spot but it loses one...
