We are currently in Florida for family vacation. After many MANY years of visiting the FloraBama I am so disappointed in the way we were treated. My partner and I aren’t 21, but went with our family anyway to enjoy the music (which was amazing) and environment. At the door, we were greeted and given the run down about how we came drink, so on and so fourth, marks on our hands and bracelets. No big deal. I gave the woman my ID stating my age (20), which in the back of my wallet was my old ID. I was told to give the OLD ID to her, after asking why, she stated she needed to verify my ID was real. To me, this felt unnecessary, being pressured and demanding for an old ID, when she already knew I wasn’t of drinking age.
Then we got inside. Tried to enjoy our family time, listen to music, and enjoy this cool spot on our vacation. We were watched like hawks for the hour we were there. A security guard with dark hair and tattoos wandered around us & stared us down the entire time, when we were just trying to hangout with our family. We were paranoid, and even scared to move around because of how hard we were being watched, for simply enjoying family and listening to the band.
The worst of it all, when we decided it was time for us to go, after not feeling welcome at all, we walked down to the exit onto the beach to walk home. As we were walking by the employee, she says, with the meanest, worst attitude “you can’t leave”, “she can’t leave”, we freeze, confused, and says “if you leave you aren’t allowed back”, and many other comments while looking my partner and I up and down. I was most disappointed with this interaction, as it was clearly out of pure bitterness, and I have never had an employee be so rude. She has dark hair, it was in a bun, and she was scrolling on her phone the whole time until she needed to look away to give us the up-down.
I do understand that having people who aren’t of legal drinking age in a bar is a liability and stressful, but we did nothing but sit and listen to music and had kind interactions with the people around us. I have loved the FloraBama since I was a kid, but probably won’t return even when I’m 21, because we were made to feel so unwelcome, in such a happy and...

Drinks, bartenders and servers were great! We had a large group celebrating my birthday and all the waiter/waitresses we got were so considerate and helpful! They were very professional. The security staff, bouncers and customer service support were extremely rude. There was an instance where one of the customer service agents yelled and cussed at one of our group for standing at the bottom of the stairs watching the band, he wasn’t in anyone’s way and wasn’t blocking flow of traffic at all and had been standing there for close to and hour and a half listening to the live music. The Same customer service representative started yelling at people moving down the stairs that they needed to move faster or go the other way, there was nothing posted that the stairs were blocked off or anything, the customers were keeping moving and weren’t being inconsiderate to anyone else. There was another instance with customer service, I was cornered exiting a restroom and escorted to the gift shop and required to purchase a shirt or leave for wearing a see through shirt (when others of our party were wearing similar outfits), the article of clothing in question was sheer but very classy and tasteful for a night out, I was wearing a crop top underneath that although being a larger busted woman’s covered the majority of my cleavage and upper waist. I tried to find the dress code online and couldn’t find any information or policies stating sheer/see through clothing isn’t allowed. Either way the way it was addressed was unacceptable and rude. While talking to other ladies in the bar others of them had multiple terrible experiences with the customer service that included body shaming, being called out for “inappropriate clothing” or moving in groups, one of them including a bridal party. Dress code and policies should be clearly stated online or posted in a public place before entering the building. The fact that I felt very singled out, and body shamed for being a large busted female by the customer service I would never recommend this place to anyone overall. I was very...
