Mother Cluckers Chicken may not be in the most ideal spot in Gurnee but it boasts possibly the best tasting chicken & biscuits you'll ever have, YES they're THAT good!!

When you look at their high ratings and rave reviews, believe the hype. This isn't your typical chicken joint where you'll see a great big pile of chicken behind the counter on a heater, no everything's made to order.

Food comes out pipin' hot & fresh at fair prices still, dining room is kept ultra clean, service is down-to-earth friendly and there's a bar so you can have a drink while getting your game on with the slots.

Relatively short menu but not the typical menu anyone would expect plus besides the phenomenal chicken and heavenly biscuits, you can even get livers & gizzards.

I just pray that this place will stay open for decades to come, the location attached to a Shell station on US 41 a few seconds north of Stearns School rd is away from the busy Grand Ave business district of Gurnee and needs more recognition.

I ordered the moms spicy bbq wings, mashed potatoes, fried chicken, chicken tenders, dirty rice, biscuits, onion rings, and a mint julep. The fried chicken was simply amazing. It had a perfect crispy exterior, while the meat inside was tender and juicy. The seasoning was on point, with just the right amount of flavor. It was clear that the chicken was carefully prepared and cooked to perfection. While the fried chicken was outstanding, the garlic mashed potatoes were truly the star of the show. They were creamy and rich, with a bold garlic flavor that was simply irresistible. The potatoes were clearly fresh and high-quality, and they were whipped to perfection. I could not get enough of them. The mint julep, which was the perfect choice for a summer day. The drink was refreshing and cooling! Honestly everything I tried was amazing. I was thoroughly impressed. It was clear that the owner had put his heart and soul into the restaurant.
