M E A's Dairy Bar — Restaurant in Halifax

This is normally my go to place and it's always been pretty good. Sizes are huge. I gave only 2 stars instead of 5 because one time I was given something other then What I asked for. When I told her I Had asked for something else she just looked at me, said no...you said this. That was it, didn't offer to give me the right item or anything. I was wrong, end of discussion. I don't give poor reviews for mistakes, nobodies perfect. I give bad reviews based on how they handle them. I ate the item I was stuck with. Since they make you pay before they scoop I had already paid for it. Very disappointing. **went there 2 more times. Ordered a sundae, they charged me full price and gave me a super tiny one in a tiny cup. Not sure what happened there but it was 1/3 the size they normally are. A size sundae you would give a small child but the same price as they normally are. I didn't even know what to say...was she calling me fat? Who knows, but I was in a hurry so I took it and left. Ordered a raspberry lime Ricky and they had no ice... Figured it would at least be cold....Wasn't even cold 😒 No wonder why they make...

My absolute favorite place to go get ice cream! It is a summer tradition, and something I always look forward to. The family who own and run this place are amazing people. They are always so friendly and welcoming. The ice cream here is so, so good! The peanut butter cup sundae with chocolate lovers chocolate ice cream is the best! The portion sizes are perfect. I cannot recommend this place...

Best ice cream in town with the best service. Good old fashion window service and picnic tables to enjoy you treats on a hot summers day. They have a variety of flavors along with a number of tasty specials. CASH ONLY. If we had guests visiting we would always bring them here. Don't worry about the line.
