China Wok — Restaurant in Hamilton Township

This restaurant offers all day lunch specials for under $8 which come with pork fried rice, soda or an egg roll. They are generous with the amount of food they give. The food is flavorful; a bit too sweet for me. We ordered (4) lunch specials; rib tips, shrimp lomein, general toas chicken and sesame chicken. We also had an order of chicken wings (gobbled up in the car along with the egg rolls). They actually gave wingettes which I don’t mind but someone else may not like that there was no tip. I asked for the chicken to be spicy but it wasn’t so I added soy sauce and the spicy mustard to take away from the sweetness. They have a station inside of the restaurant that you can choose which sauces you want along with taking extra utensils. Most places give you what they give you and charge for additional sauces. They also ensured I had napkins and fortune cookies. I wasn’t crazy about the taste of the wingettes but overall, I can’t complain about the food. With regards to the sweetness, I ordered items that are typically sweet so it was on target with other restaurants. I just wished they added the heat I requested. I’d return and try other items. As of 08/28/2020 the owners have changed. This place went from a 4.5 down to 2 stars. The old owners didn't have the most flavorful food, but it was the freshest, cleanest tasting food I had ever eaten in a Chinese takeout restaurant. Their ingredients were excellent. The portions were generous. All of the food had good flavor.

We ordered tonight. Walked in and there were all new people. Got the food home and it was terrible. Flavorless fried rice with hardly any pieces of pork or onions. Disgusting egg rolls that tasted like something you buy from Aldi and dump in oil. Greasy and heavy. Chicken and garlic sauce combo had 5 pieces of chicken in the entire meal. Ribs were never prepped. Just fried and grilled afterwards with layers of sauce. They were also tiny and nearly meatless. The 1 rib that had meat was tough and flavorless. We ordered chow mei fun as we usually do because the old owners made it great. This crew turned it into mushy, bland meh.

Terrible customer service. First of all i waited almost an hour and a half for my food to come. and when i called and asked what was going on she told me it was on its way and after i got off the phone it was another 20 mins until my food got here. I had an issue with the online ordering and when i got my food it wasnt the correct stuff i ordered so i called the store and the lady who i spoke to said that they couldnt help and proceeded to laugh when i told her that i wasnt going to eat the food because it was not what i chose to order. She was very rude and when i asked if i could drive there to switch out the food for the food i ordered she proceeded to scream loudly in chinese and handed the phone over to someone else who told me i had to pay for the other food if i wanted it. Im sorry but how this was handled was not okay. i work in customer service and this was not a good way...
