I've come to Malaga a few times over the past years with my family as it is a cute place for an upscale dinner, birthday, large family gathering occasions, and is kid friendly environment. They do not take reservations for parties under 5 and is on a first come first serve basis. We went for New Year's dinner last night and it was a mad house at 7pm we were a part of 4 and waited close to 2 hrs to be seated. I cut them a break because I understand on holidays how chaotic and long wait times can be. Aside from that the bar is a great lively place to enjoy a pitcher of sangria or Spanish wine before being seated. Once seated service is quick and friendly. The sirloin portions are gigantic close to a pound for the small one and 4 more oz for the super sirloin steak portion. I would say if you want medium steak but want it more on the cooked side order medium well, parts of my steak were borderline raw but I did not let that deter me from eating the rest of it given the busy night. My mother ordered lobster and it was massive two meaty lobster tails which is nice. Bread at the table is nice and warm and delicious and complimentary shots at the end of the dinner was a nice touch to end our dinner. Portions are generous and we highly recommend the paella dishes here they are phenomenal and red sangria is tasty. Prices are fair and owners are very friendly and accomodating. If in the area give this Spanish restaurant a try very nice variety of seafood and meat options on the menu.

My husband and I enjoyed our date night here. This restaurant was very hospitable. You’re greeted as soon as you walk in. All the servers work together so your experience is exceptional. The food was amazing! Omg the garlic chicken was the best dish with crispy potato chips on the side. The chicken was tender and full of flavor. You can pour the extra sauce in the pot over your rice if you want. I did! 😍 It was so good that I will return just to eat this dish. The portions are a great size. Prices are reasonable! The paella was good as well. Best part was the scallops in the paella for me. We also had coffees which we enjoyed. If you want Spanish and Portuguese food this cute spot is worth your time. Mouth watering dishes! Enjoy!

Came here with the intent to celebrate my husbands with the family unfortunately his PAELLA was gross you can tell it was reheated rice top with frozen seafood the rice was fulllllll of water like soup, rice was bland, piña colada was coconut juice, beans no flavor, when asked about the black stuff inside the lobster was told it was part of the food to be eaten of the lobster. Then I remembered was pooppppp lobster pooopppp. The only thing we enjoyed was the 3 cappuccinos and the bread. We complained about the paella the man had an attitude, got upset at us, was been a smart mouth. The fried calamari had NO TASTE WHAT SO EVER.....ALL I WANTED A DECENT DINER WITH MY FAMILY THAT CAME ALL THE WAY FROM NY. 🤨

So disappointing. We chose to go there for Mother’s Day after coming to Malaga for about 15 years, but will never go back. The entire night was a disaster from start to finish. When we arrived, they couldn’t locate our reservation, which is no surprise given that their reservation system is a large notebook full of scribbles and cross outs. Eventually, they found it but we still had to wait over 20 minutes to be seated. We started off ordering drinks and our waiter did not know common drinks like a Malibu Bay Breeze and clearly the bartender didn’t either because our drinks weren’t good. We ordered a large picture of sangria and it arrived with no fruit whatsoever. When it was time to order appetizers, we asked for the empanadas, but they had no more left, then we asked for the chorizo but they had none of that either. We settled on calamari and garlic shrimp. When the calamari arrived, there was such a small quantity on a large platter that it was obvious they were running low on that as well. Then came time to order dinner and as we asked for our first dish, chicken in garlic sauce, we were informed that they no longer had chicken. They literally ran out of chicken which was what half of us wanted. To top this all off, we didn’t have good service. We had to ask for water repeatedly, and when we voiced concern about all these dishes being unavailable, there was no apology. Our waiter, as well as the hostess, give excuses rather than just apologizing for the situation or trying to make up for it. When our dinners finally arrived, they served all dinners except for one. So we all sat there waiting for the one missing dish for quite some time. Then we had to wait again and ask repeatedly for rice, which was supposed to accompany all our orders. We were a group of 11 people and they bought out one small plate of rice. We had to ask for more and they looked at us as though we were asking for something unreasonable. One plate of rice for 11 people. After dinner, we spoke with the manager and to be fair, he was the first person to take ownership and apologize for the experience we had as well as reduce our bill. While we did appreciate that, what should have been a special Mother’s Day dinner was truly ruined. Needless to say, this was our last visit to Malaga. It is very disappointing because we have celebrated countless birthdays, Father’s Days, and Mother’s Days at this restaurant, but tonight was definitely the last time we will...

First, it should be noted that this was my experience and my opinion. I gave it 3 stars, based on the overall feeling of my entire group. They probably give it a 4 or 5 star rating where I would have gone with a 1, so 3 it is. They charge extra to use a credit card. I know this is a new trend with some establishments, but I usually avoid places that charge this, since the customer being there is a benefit to the restaurant, not the customer. The convenience of using the card is the benefit of the customer and they shouldn't be penalized for using it. I brought cash having been told in advance by my girlfriend since she is aware of my feelings about this up charge. There were 4 in my party. It was Valentine's day. Not the place to go for a romantic dinner. Noisy and crowded. So busy the waiter (his excuse) refused to give us separate checks as requested. (Because flipping to the page is time consuming apparently) The others in my party all had some sort of seafood dish, they were very satisfied. I had the pork chops. They were awful. Over cooked and tough. Not only couldn't you cut it with a fork (as you see great chefs proclaim on cooking shows) It took effort to stab a fork into it. I settled to just eat the vegetables and rice. My girlfriend trying to defend the restaurant said it was known for its seafood and I shouldn't have ordered the pork chops. My feeling is that if you can't properly cook a meal, don't put it on your menu. I took the two pork chops home for my dogs so the money spent wasn't a complete waste. Why didn't I complain at the time? Because it was Valentine's day, we were out with her daughter and her daughter's fiance and it wasn't worth it. So if you are going for seafood (and apparently seafood only), don't mind crowded noisy restaurants, accept waiters that don't accommodate requests by the customers they are there to serve, then this isn't a bad place. I didn't pick this restaurant, the other couple did. Knowing what I know...
