Elder's Tacos & Steaks — Restaurant in Hamilton

Finally got to go to the new Mexican restaurant in town and I was very surprised and happy with the food, service and the friendliness of everyone there! First the food! It was spot on!!! I had seen ads for the place and it all looked great but looks can be deceiving. Believe me it lived up to and surpassed what I'd expected. I had the Torta, it's a sandwich on a bun but not a burger bun... different, never had it before so I can't name it, just delicious. Mine was filled with steak and Mexican sausage with grilled onions and peppers and cheese with mayo. It was so good I got an extra one to go for supper. Best new sandwich I had in forever! The staff were friendly and helpful, they knew the menu and can help with the newer items on the menu. There are several things I want to try that I haven't eaten before so I'll let you know more later. Great restaurant, great food, other places better...

Yesterday evening, my wife and I picked up two of our dearest friends and we rode to Hamilton to eat. We went to “Elder's Tacos & Steak’s. I had saw them on Facebook for some time and the pics of the food looked delicious. We got a table and our server was quick to come greet us and got our drink order. We then ordered our food and the owner, Elder, came out to talk with us a bit. It’s Guatemalan food and it is a Christian business. The food was brought out in short order. Let me tell y’all something! The food is absolutely delicious! And it looks as good as it’s shown in the pictures posted on their facebook page! Second time here. Brought my sister. We were the only two in the restaurant when we got there. Took quite awhile for anyone to take our drink order. When our food came out, they brought me something other than what I had ordered. Really? Two customers at the time and you mess up the order? I got the Philly chicken, fries and a Coke. Also, a small order of chips and salsa (which most other restaurants provide free.) No one came by to check as to whether we needed refills on our drinks. My sister had to take her glass to the counter and get someone's attention, to get a refill. When I went to pay my check, it was $24.00, not including gratuity. Excuse me??? That much for a sandwich, fries, Coke and some chips?? The food was good, just horribly slow service and way overpriced. I doubt that...
