Mill House Coffee & Cafe — Restaurant in Hamilton

We were passing through and stayed at the Holiday Inn in Guin... we decided to swing through here for coffee even though it was a little off the path (I-22 WB) and I'm extremely pleased that we did! We've struggled to find a good coffee place in this area that's not too far out of the way (not even a Starbucks which we think is "Okay" coffee most days of the week but "good" when on the road). This place was about 5 miles off I-22 and totally worth it. They pull really good espresso shots. We had an Americano, a Mocha with Oat milk, and the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich - all very good. The espresso is smooth and not bitter like a lot of places. I watched the guy pulling shots and he had it down to a precises routine - each shot the same with a nice amount of crema on top. He even asked if we wanted the Americano hot like drinkable now or drinkable in 15 minutes which was very considerate and impressive that he was able to add water in a way to make that happen. I’m not usually one to leave a poor review, but unfortunately my recent experience at this coffee shop warranted one. At the end of my visit, I had spent over forty minutes in the cafe before I left with drinks that I didn’t order (and that weren’t made well). The staff that I brought my concerns to weren’t apologetic and it seemed that my time was of no concern. My order was not even started until after 35 minutes of waiting once I brought it to someone’s attention, and then they were out of what I ordered. An item was left off our order the server actually asked were we supposed to have 2 we said yes she didn’t try to make it right before we left the manager said it was a misunderstanding. I’m confused if I in healthcare was told that by a patient & didn’t fix it how does that come out to a misunderstanding? I wouldn’t have even minded paying for it.
