Wow's Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Hamilton

We live near this restaurant and have eaten there (or carried out) several times. It’s a good news/ bad news story.

The good news is that the food is good. We’ve had several menus items and they all were very good.

The bad news is that they are really, REALLY slow. If you eat in, your food will take forever to come out and most times entrees will be served separately when they are finished in the kitchen. Your meal will not arrive complete or together. If you order carry out, the online app is great, complete with a countdown timer letting you know when your order will be complete. Add an hour. If the timer says 35 minutes, it will likely be well over an hour. Every time.

The people are very friendly and again, the food is good. Just be prepared to wait a really long...

Funny story. So, I'm not very familiar with a lot of places in Ohio. However, I am familiar with Hamilton, as in Hamilton Ave, not Hamilton Ohio. Anyway, I looked at the ratings of Wow Thai, and I'm like oh yeah, I'm definitely ordering from there. So I order, and I'm thinking that I'm picking up my food about 10 min away, so I'm good. Not knowing that it was almost 30 min away. So, I feel so bad that I made this order and they were about to close 😳. I felt so silly. Anyway, I get there, and when I tell you how pleasant and understanding Wow was and her family. I just want to thank Wow and her family for being so helpful and concerning they were. They waited for us and we hugged, lol . Thank you sooooo much!!! Very welcoming and courteous. I will definitely...

I really wanted to love Wow Thai Food, but unfortunately, my experience left me a bit disappointed. The wait time was extremely long — it felt like forever before our food arrived. I understand the restaurant may have been short-staffed (there was only one waiter handling everything), and I have to say he was doing his best and was very kind and attentive despite the pressure.

As for the food, the flavors were off for me — everything was overly sweet, which overwhelmed the balance typically found in Thai cuisine. I think a little more attention to traditional flavor profiles could really elevate the dishes.

I hope the restaurant can work on staffing and refining the recipes, because there's potential here. Wishing them the best...
