Fresh Ginger fusion — Restaurant in Hampden

Rating 5 stars as I may be a little biased since I work here, but I'm going to attempt to justify people's bad reviews. First off, the owners changed a little over a year ago, so most of the reviews on here from 1 or 2 years ago are for the old, original 'Fresh Ginger' and most likely don't apply to us now. For people claiming we have an unclean kitchen, we actually have a very clean kitchen. I myself have worked in other kitchens before and heard stories of other kitchens that are unclean, and Fresh Ginger Fusion is not one of them. We actually clean the kitchen and equipment every night. Second, we do have our lunch combos back! We got feedback from a lot of people and switched from lunch combos to dinner combos (as we're only open from 3pm to 9pm) and they have been a hit. Third, if you drive by and the parking lot is 'dead,' it's either because we are almost exclusively a takeout place (with the option to eat in,) or because you're driving by before 3pm. Lastly, we were actually voted best Chinese food in the greater Bangor area, so I personally don't understand how people can't like it.. I love it! And please, remember that mistakes do happen occasionally, but we always strive to fix things and make our customers happy. So call us up and order some of the best Chinese...

Nice atmosphere. New owners remodeled the place. I miss the booths though. They no longer offer wontons which was a let down. We ordered a pupu platter, rice, and general tso chicken. It took a long to get our food. The pupu arrived first. We had to wait for the rice and the general tso. The rice should up about 5 min later and the general tso took about a half hour total from the time it was ordered. The pupu looked good as did the chicken and pork fried rice. Fair amount for the price. The general tso chicken was disappointing. It was tiny pieces of chicken with a lot of batter. Some pieces were just about all batter. The sauce was light and did not have strong flavor like it should. It came with some broccoli and white rice. For the about the price I could get the same thing at a Bangor restaurant with large pieces of chicken with light batter, delicious sauce, nice fresh broccoli, and a large portion of white rice. The hot mustard was kind of watered down. The tea was good. If I every go there again I will only order the pupu platter other than that I will drive to Bangor. My boyfriend and I ordered food from here tonight when we got home we noticed 2 of our three orders were messed up. I asked for boneless spare ribs in my order and got an egg roll. My boyfriend ordered coconut chicken and got coconut tofu. When we called to explain the order was wrong they told us we got what we order. When I ordered I said T6 coconut chicken which the menu we were looking at that was the number. They proceeded to tell us we were wrong. Good customer service the customer is always right. They offered to make him the new one yet we live 25 mins away it’s not worth the drive back. They never offered a refund for his meal or anything just we will make it. Then they hung up on my boyfriends mom when she called to tell them the order was wrong and they hung up on her. Even though she was nice about the whole conversation she just said that we would not be doing business with them again, and they told her when she called back again that they don’t like being spoken to that way.
