Copper Barrel on State — Restaurant in Hampshire Township

We had Copper Barrel deliver our wedding reception meal last month, and we are still hearing compliments from our guests! They continue to praise the quality, taste, and variety and keep asking who it was that provided this amazing meal.

I have an extensive list of food allergies, as did several of our guests. We tried working with other restaurants as we were searching for our caterer, and nobody came even close to how flexible and understanding Copper Barrel was. Rather than just suggesting separate meal ideas for those with allergies, they suggested menu items that worked for everybody and even altered a couple recipes to allow all the guests to eat the same buffet-style food. Not only was this incredibly inclusive and special to me who has struggled with restaurant food options, but it was also so much more cost-effective to not cater separate meals for everyone. And even the allergy-free recipes tasted amazing!

In addition, working with Michelle to plan our meal was so lovely. She was very kind in answering all my questions, communicating clearly, and really working with us to create a perfect meal. By the time we got to the wedding day, I felt so confident that everything would work out perfectly. The total cost for the amount we ordered was very fair, and we ended up having delicious leftovers across many households for days!

We are deeply grateful for Copper Barrel for giving us an unforgettable experience. They will always be our first choice for catering...

Our Semi-private event was a night to remember thanks to the Copper Barrel management!

This review is a long time coming, but as I reflect over 2024, the event we hosted at Copper Barrel is at the top!

I reached out to the owners in late summer 2024, trying to plan a surprise 40th birthday party for my wife. I wanted to bring in a band, and make the night as special as possible. Michelle diligently worked with me over the next few months coming up with plans, and ideas that would make the night memorable while also still allowing her to run a busy restaurant and bar.

October finally came and the night was unforgettable. Isaac came up with the idea to do a Bourbon tasting, and they allowed our large party a big space in the main room to dance to the band. We used their catering menu, and everything was delicious!

My wife loves Sarah’s margaritas, and even though she doesn’t normally bartend anymore, she manned the bar all night serving up the best drinks!

Isaac’s Bourbon tasting setup was a hit! We still talk about the different bourbons, and how fun it was guessing, tasting and snacking on the cheese and meats Isaac prepared.

I couldn’t have asked for a better night, or staff to work with that made her party so unique and memorable.

Went on a recommendation from social media and was pleasantly surprised. Food was very tasty and flavorful but I will admit they have some room for improvement (my brisket was dry and chicken was a bit lacking in the flavor dept.). This alone wouldnt stop me from returning. The pulled pork, ribs, chopped brisket, sausage, and even the turkey were phenomenal. I do agree with one poster regarding the spinach just having lumps of cheese in it. That was a bit weird.

My wife had the Chicken sandwich, fries, and mac n cheese. All of which were well worth what we paid.

The server we had was awesome and made a few good beer recommendations. They dont have a huge craft beer menu but they had some winners on there.

Prices were good in my book. It wasnt terribly expensive for the portions given. I would currently give it an 9/10 on a numeric scale overall just for the few minor issues we experienced. They can be easily fixed for a better experience in the future.

Oh and just look at the 1 star reviews and how they just rave about Nikos. While Nikos does have good food it doesnt even compare to this place. They also...
