Very authentic Mexican food in the middle of corn country. Was in Iowa for my cousins wedding mid October '19. My wife and I flew in from SO-CAL Found this place on Google maps while driving down the I-35. Was only a 8 min drive of the hwy. More than anything I wanted to know how Mexican food was being represented in the Mid West. Especially in a rural town. Absolutely no disappointment. To my surprise they didn't miss a thing. Food was on point. My chilleqilles where on point. Topped with creama fresca and Mexican cheese. Was served with beens rice and a couple of fryed eggs. My wife had a bowl of beef soup or caldo de res. She said it warm up her soul and was super yummy. They open for service at 0900. No complaints here guys. Next time I'm in Iowa I'm heading back for dinner. Chips and salsa are addicting here, beware.

The best Mexican food I've had, hell it even reminds me of the good ol' South Texas I call home! Especially the atmosphere and service, it's as authentic as it can get here in the North. Not to mention the food, it is divine! Loved every bite and taste, truly. If you're looking for some genuine Mexican food, this place is the best so far

I’ve heard there are many excellent Mexican restaurants in this town, so we started with this one, and now I’m a little nervous we won’t want to try anywhere else. Amazing! Delicious. Sooooo good, the real deal. Including the speed of service. Plan to take your time. Made me miss vacation in Mexico.

If I could give this restaurant a zero star rating I would. First off, they had more dirty tables, than those that were clean. Mind you, they were not busy by any means. Second, after they handed our menus to us, the waitress walked away and didn’t return for at least 10 minutes, not even asking for our drink order. When she finally came back to ask what we’d like to drink, it took another 15 minutes to get our drinks, and another 5 on top of that to get the queso we asked for 20 minutes prior (which was practically milk). Several other groups came in while we were waiting and those groups were helped immediately, receiving their drinks and placing their orders before we had even been asked for our drink order. To top it all off, the salt shaker on the table was full of crusted hot sauce, clearly showing that the tables are not cleaned and sanitized between groups. Needless to say we finished our drinks, didn’t eat any of the queso, paid the bill, and left without ordering. We went to B & C kitchen instead, where they treat you like a customer. Would not recommend this...

The food was very good, had an authentic original taste compared to most Iowa Mexican places, but the service SUCKED. The food didn’t make up for unwelcoming feeling as we walked in, the ridiculously long wait times for everything, having to ask 2 or 3 times for something before being told they were out, or the unexplainably high bill that came with just the total in it, not broken down into charges. To sum it up, it felt like we’d just barged into a strangers house, sat down at their table and demanded to be fed. The food was good but I...
