Jack's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Hanceville

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, I would not even have given the one star rating but I had to in order to leave this message about my very horrible experience. I went to the drive thru, placed my order,got to the window paid my money and was asked to pull ahead and wait for an attendant to bring it out. I waited for approximately 12 minutes and when the second vehicle had gone past me from the window I went inside to see what was taking so long. They were serving people at the drive thru and preparing orders for upcoming customers, just not mine. When I asked what was taking so long and why were they still giving people at the drive thru their orders and not working on mine one of the other workers must have heard me because I noticed her starting to work on an order and the other one turned and looked at her,he turned back to me and said she was working on it now. She was moving so slow and I told her, could she move a little faster please, I had someone waiting on me and I had already been waiting for 15 plus minutes. She asked me not to be rude and that she was working on it. I started getting louder so the person who I saw in the back would hear me and come out, when he did, I asked if he was the manager and did he hear me complaining, he told me that they were working on my order now and it would be right out. I said no it wouldn't and I had someone who had been waiting on me for this food and it was very important for me to meet them. I finally got my order and with a very cocky reply to have a nice day. The food was absolutely disgusting, it was supposed to be chicken and it was so dry and like concrete. The hanceville location is an utter disappointment every single time. The employees are rude and the managers are even worse. Food is either never ready and you have to wait 30 minutes or they give you what appears to be yesterdays leftovers. We have went many different times to get chicken for dinner and no matter the time they never have it.I have even called ahead for it and still had to wait 30 minutes for it to cook after arriving to pick up!!! Same scenario again tonight so I ordered fingers instead and the girl didn't collect my signed card receipt after handing out food. I had to sit there another 5 minutes for her to sling open window and say what do you need. I asked for different sauces and they we're not in the bag. I asked her if she wanted the receipt and could I please have sauce and napkins. After telling me the sauce was in the chicken box I looked inside to find 3 sauces for 20 fingers. I asked for more so she shut the window and put some in a bag and handed them out. My sides (which cost nearly $10 where only half filled and the biscuits (another $10) where burned and hard. My kids love jacks food but you can bet that we are through with this location. This isn't the first time stuff like this happens...it is every single time or I wouldn't be writing a review. I have complained to management before and they just brush you off and roll their eyes(literally). I cringe every time my kids want to eat here...but we will drive to another location in the future. Between the zero level of service...rude employees...employees fighting and screaming at each other and bad food we won't be back...I'd contact the owner directly but no one at the store wants to give corporate or contact info for him. This past Sunday I went through the drive thru and ordered a breakfast special. I hope to never ever decide to order from here or any other Jack's Restaurant ever again!!! Just like the Jack's on Main Street in Cullman, the Hanceville Jack's doesn't change out their cooking oil! They apparently rarely ever clean the fryer or change the cooking oil out because my bacon and my biscuit and gravy tasted like months old Burnt fried onion rings. It totally ruined my breakfast!!! I had to trash it because the "Burnt Onion Ring" taste was so strong it was the only thing that I could taste. This is the second time I've gotten food from this location and the meal tasted horribly like Burnt food. The Jack's on Main Street in Cullman served me with Fried Chicken that tasted like Old burnt oil/ food product. Hopefully these locations will change there practice of not changing out the cooking oil!!!!! It was roughly a year or so ago since I have stepped back in toThe Cullman Jack's Restaurant so Don't know if they still serve burnt Cooking oil tasting...
