Lupe's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Hanceville

I am extremely upset. We have been eating here for over fifteen years. My family, friends, and I will not give this restaurant another dime. I placed a call in order yesterday evening for two kids meals one adult meal (arroz con pollo) chicken with rice and a large cheese dip. I was looking at a photo of the menu online posted four months ago and the kids meals showed 4.99 . He told me the large cheese dip was 8 but never gave me a total took my name or told me how long. When my husband came back out and said it's over 50 dollars is that right. I immediately said no and went in to resolve the situation. The employee at the counter once again gave me a Total of over 50. I said this can't be right can you give me a breakdown. He starts by telling me kids meals are 7. I was like online it says 5 and under. He said that's wrong. I explained I didn't have 50 dollars can we please put back some of the food. He said there is nothing he can do. At this point I should have just left. I'm just not a bad person like that. So I continued to explain there is no way it could be 50. He never gave me an explanation and kept telling my husband to pay. We ended up giving him every last dollar we had for food this week. I got home and the portion sizes on the kids meals were tiny. A lot of it was not edible. There is no way these were 7 dollars but Even if they were 7 it would be 14 for two kids meals. 8 for cheese dip and 11 for the arroz con pollo. That would total 33 plus 3 in tax would be 36. Not 50.86! I drove back to the restaurant after we ate and they were closed. I sent two messages which they have read and didn't respond. Please don't do business with these ppl that treat their customers...

Are you kidding me on 4 stars.I wanted to give them a minus zero stars. I got a chicken bone right off the bat. I had like fried taquito things, they were BURNT on both ends and their was maybe a teaspoon of chicken in them as the filling. Cheese enchilada was good, but this could not make up for a bone, at least give me a free desert if we are going to play hide the bone. My friends "chimmichunga" was a skinny fried flour tortilla burnt and hard as a rock it was unrecognizable, I had to ask her what she had ordered. Cause this was not what I was used to, seeing one look like this. OMG this was awful by far the worst I have ever encountered. Chips were stale think they were from yesterday. I have been to many state's this was the worst food I have ever eaten. I can't even call it mexican food. My best friend is Hispanic and I know this kind of food, she would die if she saw this.. Awful. :( :( It took 15 minutes or more for someone to even come to our table to ask us if we wanted drinks to get the food it took longer we would of been late if we were on a lunch...

Ordered a fried steak burrito for $8.99 which was mostly grilled onions and bell peppers with 6 tiny pieces of steak. The chips tasted horrible, left a nasty after taste! Idk if it was the oil they were fried in or just really old chips... The "Salsa" tasted like tomato water. No flavor at all! Spoke to the manager/owner/"chef" guy and he asked if i read the menu... yes i did! There were things on the burrito that were NOT listed on the menu! Their was a child that was throwing gumballs and other things around the resturaunt around people and running around. Im assuming employees child... The tea was good! Thats it! I wouldn't waste my money here again if i was starving! This is only my opinion of this particular resturaunt. I have loved every other lupe's resturaunt i have been to. Normally they have super friendly employees and amazing food! Idk what happened at the one...
