Mariscos El Barba Negra — Restaurant in Hanford

Amazingly great hidden secret. At least it was to us. We only learned of it a couple months ago. The night we went they closed at 9:00. We arrived about 8: 30 and were fed, full and happy by 8:59 and everything was exceptional. We didn't feel rushed. The staff were great and so fast. The food is absolutely fresh and delicious! The drinks are incredible, especially the shrimp michelada.

The free appetizer they give you immediately of tostada shells with ceviche and crackers. Phenomenal.

I don't want a ton of people going here because maybe there will be a really long wait list eventually. Believe me, the restaurant deserves it. That's why I'm writing the review. Delicious seafood and drinks.

When we went there was a mix of Spanish music and country, western music classic and current. It was really nice. There's a jukebox on the wall where you can play...

Very disappointed the lady could hardly speak english I was trying to ask a simple question I Had 3 tacos beans and rice the rice was gross and it had corn and peas in it not what I am used to eating at a mexican restaurant I told them stop serving it because of how bad it was the beans weren't that great either pricing was fair $6 for budlight is expensive but that is avg what you pay at a restaurant so not worried about that tacos were under $3 and were decent place looked empty idk if they are remodeling or a new business also they brought out ceviche and toastads not chips n salsa which is what I wanted not ceviche needless to say I will never come back here again I was in town doin work and was starving this was the closest place to the freeway not very familiar with hanford but if this is all you have to offer...

With this mild heat 🥵 wave, we got going on in the central valley. This location in handford definitely hit the spot with something refreshing 😋 Yup mariscos. 🐟🐠🦐🦑🦞🦀🐙. I'm not going to lie. I'm very skeptical about places like this reason being I'm very picky with seafood dishes like freshness of oysters, flavors, and temperature of the mariscos that is being served. These meals have to be served cold to me. That's what makes these dishes delicious and especially refreshing 😋. And this place, Mariscos El Barba Negra definitely didn't disappoint. Service on point, food, definitely on point, and the place was chill and laid back. Give them a try if you haven't already...
