When in just to look like I always do,,they were clean so I ordered 1 taco well then I noticed that they had sopes so so I changed my order and it usually comes with Beans so I said no Beans but once I saw them making other peoples orders, I noticed that they use whole beans. I was pissed because they look delicious. I don’t like the smashed beans, they are disgusting. You can taste the metal and them from the camp so I ordered the surface. I honestly could not believe how good it was and they had these juice bags didn’t really want one because I’m not into that, but they looked completely delicious and also the girl behind the counter she didn’t look Mexican or whatever she looked like she could be Taiwanese. She was beautiful and super super thick and super polite but the sopes was literally the best I ever had in my entire life when I go Monday I’m going there just to assure myself that I wasn’t just hungry because I was hungry, but the chicken literally melted in my mouth and I don’t really even eat meat at all lately, but when I do order a taco or so I would get chicken and this chicken was Jesus Christ I didn’t say it was so good. I was sweating bullets because it was burning up outside but I didn’t care that’s how good it was. I mean the red flavor was just I was pissed because I didn’t have beans next time. I will get beans and fries from therewith Mexican food fries are the best people...
Read moreA Flavorful Gem in Arlington Heights!
If you're in Arlington Heights and craving authentic Mexican flavors, Thlaco's is a must-visit. The taco dinner I had featured a mouthwatering trio of carne asada, chicken, and chorizo, each topped with fresh cilantro, onion, zesty salsa, and smooth guacamole. The meats were seasoned with a spicy kick and grilled to perfection on a flat top grill, giving each protein a nice char with crispy edges. The flavors were bold and satisfying, making each bite a delicious treat. They use handmade, fresh corn tortilla which were the perfect base for the hearty fillings and added an authentic touch. While the ingredients were fresh and delicious, the rice and pinto beans that came as sides were a bit on the bland side for my taste, but this didn’t take away from the overall experience.
The restaurant itself is a vibrant, colorful space with plenty of tables for groups and countertop seating for those on the go. A nice touch is the self-serve station for salsa and utensils, allowing patrons to customize their meal just the way they like it.
Overall, Thlaco delivers a flavorful experience with quality ingredients and a lively atmosphere. Whether you're dining in with friends or grabbing a quick bite, it's definitely worth a visit! I definitely see this spot thrive. There's plenty of parking as it's location is in...
Read moreUpdate 6/22/24 - after making a point to try as many other Mexican restaurants around me, I came back here to say that Thlaco is the best in this area hands down. No contest. I dream about the vampiros lol 🤤
Original: I ordered an asada vampiro and side of guac. My kiddo ordered an asada burrito. First of all, their steak is insanely flavorful. This is the best restaurant Mexican food I’ve ever had, no contest. I always order tostadas so I wanted to try the vampiro, it was a bit on the small side but perfect for a light eater like myself. The kiddo loves the burrito. She said, even the onions are good and you know I’m not fond of onions. The guacamole was disappointing though! It tasted like a leather purse. Idk what was in it that made it taste that way but it’s pretty difficult to disappoint me with guac. I’ve had so many different kinds and I typically love them all…but this one was bad. The guac is the reason I gave 4 stars. Otherwise, the food is a solid 5 stars. The decor/style is clean and trendy. Very appealing, not too much, not too simple. Employees were great. We went there last minute, about 15 mins before closing (I’m sorry!) but they didn’t make us feel bad about it. We will definitely be back to try more food. If you found this review helpful,...
