Read moreSo, I decided to take advantage of McDonald’s 50-cent double cheeseburger promotion on my way there. Unfortunately, that decision quickly turned into a waste of time.
When I arrived at the McDonald’s drive-thru, the line was completely stationary. I sat there for about 10 to 15 minutes without any movement whatsoever. Frustrated, I decided to go inside, thinking it would be quicker. However, the situation inside was no better.
There was no one at the front counter, and the only thing I could hear was the sound of employees in the back, chatting and laughing. A woman in the kitchen briefly looked out and noticed me, even commenting to her coworkers in Spanish that there was a customer waiting, but instead of addressing me, she returned to her conversation. I continued waiting, but no one came out to assist me.
After a considerable amount of time, a manager finally emerged. Oddly enough, he didn’t even acknowledge my presence. Instead, he addressed another customer, informing her that the power was out and that she would need to cancel her order. He did not extend this information to the rest of us waiting.
At that point, one of the employees in the back asked me what I would like to order. This confused me, given the fact that the power was clearly down. For a moment, I thought perhaps she was offering to take my order manually, maybe using cash instead of the card system, which might not have been affected by the outage. But after I asked if I could place an order, she simply laughed and explained that no orders could be taken due to the power outage. I couldn’t understand why she would even ask what I wanted if there was no way to fulfill the order. Then she returned to her conversation with her coworkers, as if it was no big deal.
While I understand that power outages can happen, the way the situation was handled was unacceptable. There was no communication, no signage, and no effort to inform the customers waiting both inside and outside. As someone who works with customers regularly, I found the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy appalling. At the very least, a sign should have been posted or employees should have taken the initiative to inform those waiting about the issue.
In the end, it was an unfortunate waste of time, and quite honestly, one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in...
Read moreCame in for a lunch and was ignored by a cashier three times. She gave us arrogant looks, and walked away without saying a word. It was a bit busy, but she could have acknowledged us and say that she'll be with us as soon as she can. We patiently waiting for nearly 5 minutes without any service. We can see that the employees saw us, but yet continued to ignore us. Including the manager.
A very nice employee, whom seemed to be off shift, was kind enough to get the managers attention that two customers were waiting to be served (for that we greatly appreciate). The manager had to call for the same cashier who ignored us. As she walked up, under a direct order, she then rolled her eyes at us as if she was annoyed to serve a white couple. She then took our order without saying a single word to us. It became obvious to us that she did not want to provide us with the friendly service we should expect. The manager didn't even offer us an apology for the poor service.
Then she gave us the wrong receipt. We had to ask for the correct one. She did not apologize. No word. None. Just a look of arrogance. We didn't get her name because she was not wearing her name bade.
After we completed our lunch, we overhead the manager congratulating the staff by saying "Great job everyone." Not 100% true. Between the manager and cashier, it was less than 0% acceptable.
In all, we feel that the treatment we received today was racially motivated. Totally unprofessional. We expected better. Her attitude is not welcome. It was upsetting to be treated in such a manor.
We will be filing a formal complaint. We have already filled out the store survey and will contact your owners. We found their contact information. This was completely poor treatment of customer service. So bad, we will never return to this location. I'm sure this was recorded on your cameras.
This occurred on Sunday, January 25, 2022 at 2:29 pm. Our order number was 08.
Please correct this situation. We'll continue to pursue this matter until we're convinced that disciplinary action...
