Heidi's Hollow is a quaint little ice cream shop on route 58 in Hanson. Heidi's appears to be a renovated Barn decorated with vintage signage. I love going here for my favorite ice cream when the urge strikes me. Heidi's prices are right in line with all other ice cream shops. However, with Heidi's, at least I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. I always ask them for the smallest cup they have and I end up getting two scoops of ice cream. Heidi's has a couple of picnic tables outside that you can sit and enjoy your ice cream if you so desire. Or, you can sit inside in the lovely little shop and enjoy some more of their antique signs and license plates. I love Heidi's. I visit this establishment a couple times every year because of my fondness for their Coffee Oreo ice cream. The servers are always friendly and professional. There is plenty of parking on the grounds, at least every time I have been there. If you found my review helpful, please give me a thumbs up and feel free to check out some of my other...

Only complaint I’ve had: I like ice cream sodas (I don’t think they are even on the menu to be fair), so I’ll occasionally ask if the staff knows how to make them. They usually say yes, but they really don’t know how to make them . They should probably be trained how to, or told to just say no and suggest something else. I’ve gotten some pretty interesting concoctions. One of the girls told me she absolutely knew how to make it when I ordered a chocolate ice cream soda with banana ice cream. I got soda water and cream/milk with cut up banana chunks (the fruit) floating in it. I’m not mad though, considering it isn’t really on the menu and the staff is young. Everything else I’ve gotten there was...
Read moreI recently visited this ice cream shop and was really disappointed to see that the staff were serving ice cream without wearing gloves. In a food service environment, hygiene should always be a top priority—especially when handling items that are consumed directly without further preparation.
Although the store looks clean, the lack of proper sanitary practices made the experience uncomfortable and concerning. I hope the management addresses this issue promptly and implements better hygiene protocols moving forward.
Cleanliness and customer safety should never be an...
