SERVICE: For starters - the service was excellent. Sydney waited on me and I was Immediately greeted with a smile and very clearly laid out Menu and Specials List followed by a drink order - textbook stuff. I was a barely awake walking in there and it was pretty obvious that I needed a few minutes with the menu. My coffee/water was promptly delivered. All options and other items to make my experience enjoyable were offered and provided (think hot sauce, coffee top-ups, refreshing my water etc.). Very attentive and friendly - and I looked like a zombie walking in there today - so cheers to Sydney.
FOOD: The omelet was good, the toast was obviously fresh bread, the coffee was exactly what I like - good, American breakfast joint black coffee. The potatoes, however, needed some love. If you're a BURN MY HOME FRIES! type of cat this place may disappoint (for the record - they staple the order slip to the bill and Sydney had clearly written WELL DONE next to the home fries exactly as I'd requested so the message got communicated). I personally think all breakfast joints should have a dedicated Sous Chef just cranking 'em out - crispy, hot & flavorful - just like in the Bible.
ATMOSPHERE: The low rating for ATMOSPHERE is something I'll address privately with the owner as it's likely (hopefully) an isolated incident. Don't let my 1 STAR deter you from going in and...
Read moreIncredible experience. Happened to be in the area while starving with my 2 year old son today.
Service was fantastic and attentive. Food was wonderfully home made and fresh. To my surprise my son’s pancake was made in the shape of Mickey Mouse which was very thoughtful. I got chocolate chip pancakes and they fried the chocolate chips inside the pancake mix which I love! Can’t count how many places lazily just throw chocolate chips on top.
With this great service and food, the icing on the cake was food is low priced. Because of my positive experience I tipped over 20% and still felt like I robbed the place. Would have happily...
Read moreQuaint little hidden gem in the back country roads of Hanson. The building seems a little old, but the food was great and the wait staff was pleasant. Sometimes when you go into a new restaurant, you really don't know what to expect, but you can always tell a lot about a breakfast place from its coffee. From the first sip of coffee that hit my lips, I knew that this place was going to be good. Coffee was smooth, fresh, and no bitterness, just the way i like it. If you take the time to make a good cup of coffee, then that means you take the time to make good food, and this place nails it. Will definitely be back when i travel...
