They Say Restaurant — Restaurant in Harper Woods

Beyond disappointed. I have been looking to eat at this location since forever, because of distance and everything else that happen in the world just haven't had the time. However, yesterday I decided to give "They Say" 8 mile location a try! I Called SEVRAL times just to make sure they were open and if the restaurant was taking carry out.. NOT ONE SINGLE ANSWER! OK, WELL maybe they are just closed for the evening or super busy. So I just decided to make a trip up there because I wanted something good and different to eat so bad. I Pulled up, went inside not busy at all. The restaurant had couple a table seated but that was it. I was directed to the back of the restaurant to place a carry out. I order the the Cajun alfredo (add chicken for additional amount), Terry's burger (for my husband) 10 piece they say wings and side of fries.

1st off the chicken alfredo was ok! if it wasn't so dry I would really enjoyed it. The chicken I paid for was so salty I couldn't even eat it!! It was like they pour the entire salt shaker on the chicken! ugh, just terrible!!! I really could did without the chicken! waste of money.

2nd the Wings were so dry and chewy. Over cooked and just terrible. like most place they was stingy with the sauce!

3rd The burger wasn't nothing to brag about (according to my husband)

4th They didn't have not one single dessert item that was on the menu was sad about it.

If "They Say" would ANSWER THE PHONE would have call back to express my disliked possibly get full refund However, this restaurant don't believe in answering their phone!

If I didn't live so far would took all that mess back. Just waste of...

So I come in and I let the hostess know I have a group of 7 but it’s 5 adults,1 child,1 toddler so we wait while they pull one table to make it enough room , the problem wasn’t that my party and I had to wait it was that the waitress seated two different groups of 4 ahead of us now were getting lousy service and then we ask for drink menus she comes back out with condiments so we don’t have our food so one of the persons in my party asked I noticed you brought out the condiments so is our food coming out and her response was ummm well soon and we also asked for lemons that we didn’t get we haven’t even ate yet ....this is 02/11/20 and to add to the visit the food that I ordered wasn’t to my satisfaction I ordered the trio plate before that the manager told us that our food was bought out to us according to what Oder the ticket was and that our waitress put our order in twenty minutes after we ordered . So I would say as a manager the establishment needs improvement especially in the neighborhood where majority are black and we complain about patronizing each other this would be a great chance and start! I pray that all who works there get a spirit of humbling themselves to serve the people that come in the way they would want to be treated if they went to Joe Muir...

The very first time we came here, my food took 2 hours to arrive, while my sister’s food came 45 minutes before mine did. The server kept saying it was almost out for nearly an hour and a half. Yet I still received my meal when my she was already done with hers. The server was dismissive and unapologetic. Mind you I only ordered a chicken Caesar wrap, which happened to be very greasy. I waived my first experience because I really enjoy the downtown location. So at this point we’ve racked up a few experiences with They Say Harper Woods location. My next few were takeout which was fine, good food for the most part. And glad I gave them another chance from the first time although service is still not the best. However, the last three times weren’t as consistent. I ordered the chicken quesadilla, they barely put chicken in it. So after a few times I decided to write a review. I literally had 1 small bite of chicken in each piece of quesadilla, just mainly cheese and tortilla. So I couldn't even eat my meal, what a waste. I just wish they were more consistent with their food, they already need to work on service and it’s only been open a few months. They need some major training at this establishment. In the kitchen...
