We ordered dinner to go and the salad was missing chicken, no big deal because mistakes happen! But the way it was handled was awful. They first wanted to give me a free salad valid for 2 weeks, I explained I do not come out that way because we live far. I heard the girl tell someone “she doesn’t want to come out here” and then someone else (brittany) picked up the phone and said she would give me 12$ in cash (refund the salad) but I had to come to pick it up. Not apology, we are so sorry that happened, nothing. I understand mistakes happen but to not even try and rectify the situation or make your customers happy when I was clearly disappointed at this point was just rude. The ladies were both rude and that 12$ in cash being the end result of their mistake and us having to share food because something was mishandled was just poor customer service. It would cost me over 12$ in gas to come get the cash... I would not recommend coming here just for the fact of their poor customer service. If you do not know how to rectify a situation or even speak with a customer respectfully or put someone on hold before you say something about the customer; you probably should not be in the restaurant business. There was not an apology until I went to hang up. I have never written a bad review until this one because it felt warranted and wanted to warn anyone before spending your money somewhere like this! Horrible experience. I know things are tough right now with everything that is going on, but some things there are just no excuses for. Called in and order for a ham sandwich and a small salad. After waiting 40 minutes in the parking lot, and watching several others receive their orders, I called to inquire about mine. I was told it would be another 5 minutes. Apparently, it was ready, and had been for some time. The server brought it right out. Thank goodness I checked it before I left! My sandwich had obviously been sitting around waiting while they got everyone else's order out. The fries were cold and limp, the bread on the sandwich had been sitting so long that the bread was rock hard, and the lettuce and tomato was warm. I called and told them what was wrong, and that they could come get their food and refund my money. I was never offered an apology, no one ever offered to remake the food or do anything to try to make up for letting my order sit around and die. I know I didn't have the biggest order going out, or the most expensive, but is that an excuse for the shoddy food and service? I seriously doubt we will be back to Gondolier, even after everything goes back to normal. Like I told the server, (who had no problems keeping the tip I left!), I don't mind paying $14 for a sandwich and a salad, but I expect to get what I paid for, and not some dried out after thought that you...

I originally stated this: “This restaurant didn’t forget any of my sauces. Personally, just about every restaurant forgets something with my delivery order. I will DEFINITELY be giving my business to this place — big thanks to the employees here who paid attention to my order requests.” Unfortunately, I was wrong to think they would keep up that level of attention across the board. Shortly after a good experience, they did actually forget some of my dipping sauce that come with the meal. On DoorDash, you have to pick a side with the gyro sandwich plate. I selected a pickle with fries and side of ranch — the ranch was left out of my order, though the tzatziki sauces were remembered. Just a friendly request to this place: please don’t forget sauces with orders placed when they’re selected and included with the meal. It can really throw off the food vibe for those of us who have to eat things a certain way. Otherwise - excellently prepared Mediterranean food. The wait isn’t very long, even when busy. However, I did an order to go. First they gave me a barbecue burger when I ordered a bacon cheese burger. I understood. I waited for another, and it was brought out to me already bagged with a knot tied. All she had to say was “here you go” and she walked away. Once I looked at it I had probably half (or less) of an order of fries. If you expect me to pay these kind of prices you can at least fill the plate.

(2sides included) and a sweet tea is $3.25 a glass!?!?! #3 the food. My seafood was over fried and burnt, only 4 shrimp, the lasagna tasted like it was out of a can covered in ragu meat sauce. Only reason I have it a 3 was because it was the only restaurant in area and at least we could eat it.
