El Verdadero Sabor de Mexico — Restaurant in Harrisburg

I was visiting from out of town and had a hankering for classic Mexican flavors. Found El Verdadero on google with great reviews, and so we gave it a shot. Boy, are we glad we did.

I lived in the southwest for over 15 years, and I know a good taco from a bad one. These were great tacos.

I opted for the tacos al pastor - always my favorite. She warned me of the spice level, and I said no fear here. Whew! My lips were tingling when I finished with a flavor fire bomb feeling. Loved it!!

My husband got a chicken, steak, and al pastor taco. He loved the chop of the meats - they were finely diced. The toppings were abundant, and the tortillas were very clearly fresh and made in-house. They even had guacamole included! Deliciosa!

The service was kind, friendly and fast and the restaurant seemed very clean. Overall, we were super pleased with our choice, and I would recommend them to anyone who needs their Mexican fix while...

The food was good but the whole service was so slow that I’ve waited for 20 minutes for my food and my mom waited like 10 minutes more. The waitress forgot some things that I and my mom asked for and didn’t bring our drinks to the table at least if she let me know I could’ve gotten my drinks myself the waitress didn’t even do that. My moms coffee came last after all the food was on the table cause the waitress forgot her coffee. Always have 2 waitress if it gets busy and it was my first time here and I heard a guy yelling inside the store about the cookers taking forever which gives me red flag that the service is slow. This place is absolutely wonderful. After the owner changed, there is a big clear difference. From the decor to the actual food. I am saying this with complete confidence and satisfaction, this is the best mexican food I've tasted in my life. I ate here today for the second time, tasting a different food. I ate tacos the first time, and a carne asada torta today. Both of them were completely delishious, bringing me joy with each bite. This place will surely leave you satisfied for the average...
