I am a returning customer and i did not expect to experience what i did the time around . I reached out to the bakery to order cupcakes I needed for my daughter’s birthday . It was 2 days prior and they agreed to make them if they could not make it happen they could have been honest about that as well . I was told to send photo reference to the number on file which i did , i got no reply until the morning of my daughter’s birthday which was no use because i stayed up until 6am the night before and had to bake and decorate cupcakes myself . Menu on google maps is out of date. They didn't have quipes, bollitos de yucca, quesillo, or arepa de maiz- and their prices have gone up. The area is sketchy. I tried the completo sandwich, a beef chimi burger, and majarete. I was excited to try majarete because a google search said it's made with fresh corn and strained. It's okay. I don't really taste corn, just 'sweet' and I think I'd prefer a thicker, spoon-eating texture. This is a drinkable texture. The sandwiches were decent but lacked an element of 'fresh and crunchy' the vegetables should be adding. I liked the completo better than the chimi. They're both ample portions. This bakery is a gem in the Allison Hill neighborhood of Harrisburg. The owners, Lily and Juan, are friendly and accommodating. They serve up authentic Dominican sweets, drinks, and snacks, as well as make unique custom cakes.
