A little over two weeks ago on a Saturday, on a much needed quick family getaway, my family and I drove through Metro Beach and visited Frosty Boy for the first time.
My wife and I bought ice cream for ourselves and our children. I bought my son a prepackaged spider man popsicle. The popsicle fell off the stick after just a few bites due to the stick freezing near the outside of the popsicle.
I brought the popsicle to the window and let the girl know what happened and requested a replacement with just a small vanilla soft serve cone for my son.
She said they don't have any control over the way the popsicles are packaged and said if I wanted another ice cream I would have to pay for it.
If my son paid for his popsicle with his own money and the popsicle fell off the stick and onto the ground because of a defect, would she have told him the same thing?
Last I checked it was a businesses responsibility to stand behind the products they sell, whether they have control over how the product is produced, or not.
Terrible taste left in my mouth (pun intended) and refuse to go there ever again. One and done. I was blown away at the level of customer service my family and I received.
$1000 in potential lost revenue over 10 years from my family because of a terrible decision over a 3 dollar popsicle. Great lesson in how NOT to run a business. Frosty Boy... never,...
Read moreThis is my 2nd review. I down graded them from 2 stars to one Terrible customer service. If they make a mistake on your order, (like forgetting to add sprinkles to a four year olds cone) they charge you the 57 cents. I offered to let them make it right, but they were too concerned about eating the cost. This is not the first issue we have had with them. Nore am I the only one to say have issues. I have witnessed others have similar customer service issues. I'm just willing to say something. Getting ice cream is supposed to a fun experience, especially for kids. Common customer service should go...
Read moreWent here 5/24 @ 8pm and ordered a Large Hot Fudge Sundae with custard, hold the whip & cherry. Place was easy to find. But that's about the only positive thing I can say about this location. I am a custard ice cream hound, frequenting Ermas and Custard Spot, and this place just doesn't compare. Their custard ice cream tasted like regular soft serve. Their "hot fudge" was just chocolate sauce, not hot fudge. And the prices here are 30% higher than any other custard place in the Metro Detroit area. I wish I could say it was delicious, but it was lacking...
