Lori's is always good for a cheat day. I look forward to the spring when they open and I'm sad when they close for the season each year. It's within biking distance of the house and it's off the beaten path enough to feel peaceful. The service is always good and the ice cream and food are delicious. The chili on Uncle Gary's burger was some of the best I've tasted. My only complaint is that they have unclear directions in their lobby. They have a sign designating that only food orders can be placed at a specific window, so I went to that window. After waiting for about five minutes, Lori, the owner, helped me but asked me why I was standing in that line. I told her that I was only following directions, she understood, and she took my order. Amazing ice cream!!! It’s absolutely phenomenal, they are fast and attentive. Also they are so very sweet to my daughter, also with Covid 19, they do a no contact with money and giving your orders to you outside with no contact. They have Sterilizing stations for hands before you hand the money and after. Along with before you get your ice cream and after you get your ice cream. But what I like most about them is they are all so very sweet kind and generous. My husband and my daughter my one year-old son and I go here at least 3 to 5 times a week. This is my favorite ice cream location in all of Michigan and we have been going here for years. I have never had a poor interaction with the workers and they always seem to be having fun together. They serve their guests well and have a good time doing it. I absolutely love their array of ice cream and dessert choices. I visited for Mother's Day 2020 and they made the most DELISH ice cream cakes that I brought home to mom. They also have dairy free choices which is helpful for our lactose intolerant family members. During our last visit, it was clear that they are taking every precaution possible to keep the employee's and customer's safe during COVID.
