Read moreI went to DQ for my lunch, (I work at foodlion, where I only get 30 minutes of lunch). I believe it was short staffed because they took forever to take our orders, which to a point I totally understand. I work at a retail store so I understand. I kept my cool was very patient, but I started noticing the people who orders after me were getting their food first. Which really irritated me, but I thought that they might have been frying more chicken tenders and thats why they got it first. Well it was 2 minutes before I had to go back to work and I still did not get my food!! I was pretty upset and got in line again to ask for a refund. Thats when I notice that they were so unorganized and inconsiderate! All of the orders that were coming in were not in order, They would put the tickets in different places. So thats why the people who came after would get their order first that the people who were there before! It is pretty upsetting because this is the second time that this has happened to me. On top of that, I had to wait in extra 7 minutes in order to get my refund to which I was late to going back to work. My food was already ready and I should have just gotten more than a refunded! Read moreMy recent experiences with this dairy queen at this location are mixed at best. Yesterday was a low point on December 15, 2020 at 4:30 PM. There is a possibility of a couple of new employees working the window, but the length of time to fill the order and the extremely blasé attitude for my long wait and ultimately the wrong order being handed to me, was utterly unacceptable. When I placed my order at the drive-through, there was one car behind me. By the time the transaction was complete, after multiple frustrating exchanges with the people at the window - watching them laugh and interact with each other and leaning on counters not taking their job seriously - there were at least 8 to 10 vehicles backed up behind me. The cars began to honk their horns due to the excessive wait time. I am a retired CEO with 45 years of customer service experience and I’m used to a less serious and less courteous attitude of young people in the workforce these days, but this was different. This was unacceptable. I’ve been a loyal customer of Dairy Queen since the 90s when I lived in Minnesota. I order meals through the drive-through at least 3 to 5 times a week, breakfast lunch and dinner. I hope this situation can be addressed by the manager with additional training and coaching....
