Los Marquez Mexican Restaurant #2 — Restaurant in Harrisonburg

Holy moly! Harrisonburg is truly a Mecca for Mexican cuisine but you haven’t had anything until you’ve eaten at this restaurant. The chicken enchiladas are to die for. For years I had considered El Charro my favorite. Their cheese dip and chips and shrimp tacos had me. But this restaurant tops everything in this town. They are a spin off restaurant #2 from Stanton. if you don’t believe the meager reviews yet on Google just go to their Stanton page. You’ll see what I’m talking about. There is some thing about their sauce that is unlike anything I’ve ever tried. It has a hint of sweet but not so much that it takes away from the flavor. It’s just enough to bring out the flavors of everything else. And they even have a drive-through!. You will need to go to their Stanton restaurant menu to see what they have to offer. I am a very picky eater but I Love Mexican food! I just moved to Harrisonburg for JMU and I have been struggling to find an affordable, delicious Mexican place where everything tastes just the way I like it. The guacamole was perfect! Not too much cilantro or lime and it was smooth and refreshing. The queso was mildly spicy and very strong cheese flavor, and I LOVE cheese. It was perfect to dip my chips and chimichanga in. The chimichanga was made just as advertised, nothing extra inside or on top which I really appreciate. The rice and beans were also so yummy

BRUH...I just had the best talapia, Mojarra Frita, I've ever had!! Came in and was hungry but it's hot. Walk up to the restaurant and on special is the WHOLE (it's the whole fish -gills, spine....just like from the 70's) cooked well, seasoned perfectly. I'm stuffed.
