Galati’s Pizza - Gala-T-Inn — Restaurant in Hartford Township

I am updating the review because improvement deserves recognition. I think the restaurant pays attention because the service has definitely improved. In particular the lady who was our server seems to be much more attentive to all her patrons while they are at the restaurant. I like to support local businesses but I also feel a review should not just be a rant but provided information so others can make a choice.

This has to do with service as the food was good and your prices are very reasonable. Our server Kenzie had plenty of time to have long conversation with a particular table of three men while she never checked back after our food to see if we needed anything. Then when I give her my card to pay, she goes back to talking to the table of now two men while I wait for 20 minutes just to get my card back. We left mistakenly leaving our take home Bosco sticks on the table, but when we return, under 5 minutes, she had already thrown them away. I guess she ran out of things to...

Stopped in for supper and ordered spicy waffle fries and a Margherita pizza. The waffle fries were OK, no spice that i noticed, just fries.

The pizza was underwhelming. The crust was not brown, it was not doughy but just not cooked long enough for me. I’m assuming the tomatoes were roma, they were diced which I didn’t like as it impacted the distribution of the tomato on the pie. As for the taste, the basil was the only ingredient that has any flavor. I salt very little food, i had to add salt, parmesan cheese, and crushed red pepper to the pizza to give it flavor. Guess it was pretty optimistic to get a good Margherita pizza in a little town in Michigan. I will give their pizza another try with a more traditional pie like all meat.

Great experience tonight! We ordered the Italian Sausage which included a side of spaghetti and a salad which you could make to your liking from the salad bar. The food was excellent and the service was just as good! Our server was Lyvia and she was very attentive even while training another staff member. I was very impressed with the kitchen staff. I believe there were at least five employees that I could see and they were all very professional. There was little talking amongst them, but when they talked they were not loud or rowdy as I have witnessed so many times before as we were dining in a restaurant.
