IT IS CASH ONLY WITH NO ATM! BUT... It's so affordable! CHEONG GARDENS is such a local staple, it's been around more than twenty years. Then food is good and some of the food items are GREAT! Just the fact it's been around so long tells you a lot, it is based in a shopping plaza that has seen so many businesses open and close but Cheong Gardens remains because of good food and service also the prices help a lot, they will "work" with you if you don't have enough money to feed your family, EVERYBODY knows the staff and vice-versa. I left the state and the first thing I do on visits is go to see my boy Tom, he's the he runs the restaurant. You will enjoy the food Don't let the location fool you but it is in a shopping center with a post office, pizza shop, grocery store, public library, laundry mat, and a few other businesses but there is PLENTY OF PARKING SPACE.. TRY THE FOOD!

I recently visited this establishment and I’m not going to lie me food was horrible. I ordered general tso’s and it was hands down the worst general tso’s I’ve ever had. My chicken was dry old and when I say old I’m talking as though it was a order somebody else placed and they decided not to get it and it was given to me and mind u I went in to place my order and I live like 5mins away from this place and when I reached home my food looked undesirable and tasted even worse. But this isn’t the first this has happened, but I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt but not again next time I’ll go somewhere else. And then they have the audacity to put the food online like it look good and that’s not the case.

Decided to give them a try since they had good reviews. It's your typical inner city Chinese style restaurant, very basic and not to expensive. The Pork Egg Foo Young was a 4, but the General Tso, Egg Rolls and Fried Wings were 3ish. The Pork Fried rice that came with the meals was favorable, but a little dry. Wings were small and Fried to hard. Gen Tso lacked spice and I like mine with broccoli and chilies. Egg rolls were also hard and dry. Not a repeat for me with so many options. Looking to patronize more small businesses a few times a month. Friendly service, cash only, no restrooms, few tables for dining in.
