Gino's Pizza — Restaurant in Hartford

I know they are new. Thought we would give it a try. Heard good things. Heard it's been busy with people waiting outside. So, I called, they answered and I waited 5 min on hold. No problem. Ask how long on a large. Gal said she would ask so she didn't give me wrong answer. Ok. It was 45 minutes. Fine with my family. Get there on time, paid, tipped and stood along the wall waiting. It is now 45 min after getting here and they asked my name once. Looked around and kept working after I gave it to them. No idea when pizza is coming out. Looks like it's one pizza at a time they can only make. Been watching with the new open kitchen concept. Lighting is 5 stars. They asked 3 other guys that have been here longer than me if they wanted a soda, but not me. Not sure what happened with my order and no one told me when it will be ready. It was 15 min after they closed I got my pizza and garlic bread. I waited 1 hour on site. 1 hour 50 min after I called in order. No soda, no offer for my money back or something off on my next order. Just a sorry for the wait. Pizza was decent, crust and cheese highlight. Garlic bread I would skip. Not sure we will return. I will tell anyone who asks that the pizza is decent but be aware it may not be up when they tell you. Not worth the wait. For me it would take more communication to understand if it was something unique and won't happen again. Otherwise that's business as...

Our family has ordered pizza and chicken twice now, both times at 4pm in afternoon. In hopes to avoid dinner rush. We order online and states 25 min to ready. Both times when I arrived for pick up, after 25 min, they didn't have pizza started but chicken was ready. Both times I had to wait an additional 20+ minutes for the food. I'm doing 3 stars because the pizza was good, but chicken was soggy and cold, as it sat on top the pizza oven. Both times were the same cashier, who when I checked in, just walked away without saying anything. I knew from watching staff talk that the pizza was not made. Then when it came time to take the food, the error was not acknowledged, neither time. Gino's staff either needs to be have communication with food timing, and/or the online ordering time-frame needs updating. Either way, two times now, 12pc chicken was cold and soggy; but...

Last night we tried the pizza and it was fantastic. Now we have tried fish , chicken and the pizza , let me tell you this is the place to go. Also met the owner and he aims to please great guy , need to work on there waits

So I have been to ginos more then most Hartford residents and have loved it. How ever tonight was the most disgusting pizza I have had from there . There was hardly no sauce on it and the meat didn't resemble Italian sausage at all. If this keeps up I guess I will. Be going elsewhere.

5/22 Went to Geno's for pizza and what a disappointment, use to rave about this pizza but as it goes a new place opens and gives you a fantastic product and after a few months they change things up and the pizza I had tonight , I wouldn't feedy dog. Come on guys get it back together or you will be losing one...
