Over the past few months there service has gone downhill. Today I did a “to go” order and walked into where my coffee was waiting for me… but no donut. After about 3 minutes of standing there the shift leader acknowledged me and said she would be right over. After another 4 minutes of me standing there and the two workers continued to ignore me and only serviced the drive thru. I leaned over the counter and asked if I could have my donuts as my coffee had been sitting there since I walked in. To which I was told by the young man working behind the counter “well we’re really busy”. I responded that’s great I understand but I’m a paying customer as well to which he responded “good for you they are too.” I then asked for this young man’s name to which I was told Matt he then proceeds to spell it for me and go that’s M A T T for the uneducated. That’s when I had enough. As a paying customer and someone who works in customer service myself; if any of my employees called a customer uneducated they would lose the job on the spot. Apparently this Dunkin’ seems to think that is ok. To say the least the Harwinton Dunkin’ has lost a...
Read moreThe Harwinton Dunkin has been my number one go-to for years. However, the last several times I went, I was extremely disappointed with the attitude I received from the workers at the drive-thru, and most recently, the poor quality of the $7 drink I ordered (it was undrinkable; you can see the layer of caramel just sitting in the bottom) and items just completely missing from my order. I use mobile ordering 99% of the time I go to Dunkin. I know exactly when I placed the order. When I get to the microphone, I'm met with an incredibly snarky "Well, it just came through, you're going to have to give me a minute." This has happened multiple times, and it was the same person each time. I worked in food service and retail for many years. There is never any reason to be so rude when you're working in a...
Read moreWent through the drive-thru at 10:30 AM on Thursday, Dec 10. Service was great. The lady manning the window (didn't catch her name) was good at her job; very welcoming and kind.
The order was fairly large: two bacon Wake-Up Wraps, a bacon, egg & cheese on an "everything" bagel, hashbrowns, a Boston cream donut, and a specific iced coffee order. Everything came out great, even the Wake-Ups, which usually look like they're thrown together by someone with blindfold on.
Compared to the other Dunkin' 8 minutes away in Burlington (my hometown), it's a completely different experience. If you're craving Dunkin' but you're not in too much of a hurry and can spare the extra 8 minutes, I'd recommend driving up to Harwinton instead.
Edit: Oh yeah, and all of that...
