Joe's China Express — Restaurant in Hastings

update. Aug 2024 been 6 months since last visit I went inside. Requested extra sauce. I said I wanted LOTS of sauce. I wanna have to carry container level to keep from spilling it and also I want that extra spice. I want to sweat from eating it. From the picture. Does that look like extra sauce? Pfft What did I get barely any sauce. No spice at all. I went up asked for extra chilli sauce. He grabs me one out of the freezer the freezer! SERIOUSLY! I used to absolutely love this place. This Was the best Chinese place to eat and I would tell all my friends to eat here. NOW? I tell them to avoid it cause the food just don't have the flavor at all anymore. I'm done eating here. It is a absolute shame because like I stated this was my absolutely #1 place to eat!. Now? I'd rather eat McDonald's than eat here

Order hunan chic and beef. Asked for extra sauce and chilli past for more heat. Didnt get extra sauce Was very very bland. No flavor at all. And I mean zero. Tasted like gravy out of a can. Always go through the drive-in so I don't know about the atmosphere. Do you have to remember to push the order button or nobody will come to the window to take your order and they don't always understand the best. For the last couple times I've been here I've ordered extra sauce because it used to not be enough and when you order extra you get way less my rice wasn't even covered this time I don't know if I got charged for it because they don't usually give a receipt. Don't order pop because the lids do not on. I don't know if it's because they're rude or they don't understand you but they don't really partake in trying to do customer service. The chicken on a hole was good I had hunan chicken but there was not near enough sauce on it it didn't even cover the rice so if you like plain rice I guess this is the place to go also if you order sweet and sour anything it will not come with any sauce on it you have to order sauce separate keep...

Worst Chinese food I've ever had. The egg roll tasted only of cabbage, and before you tell me that's what egg rolls are, this one ONLY tasted of cabbage. If I'd wanted that, I'd have just boiled some cabbage. The crab rangoon was awful. The shell was burnt and hard to pull apart, the filling had no flavor whatsoever. Finally the sesame chicken was just terrible. I don't know what they used for flavoring, but it definitely wasn't right. The sauce was runny, and there was way too much of it, plus the chicken was overcooked and tough. The food was so bad, my wife and I just called Hunan's to get take out.
