I ordered a cake from this person, but what I received was terrible customer service and a low-quality product. I was shocked at how bad the design was—it looked nothing like the pictures. It honestly looked as though a kindergartener made it with Play-Doh. The small figurine she attempted to create was crooked, distorted, and covered in fingerprints. I wish I took pictures of the cake before she grabbed it from me after I politely told her it wasn’t what I had expected.
Her response was shocking, especially considering she works in the customer service industry. She screamed at me and called me names for no reason. She yelled that I was schizophrenic and ordered me to get out, saying I should never order from her again. She was so loud that even people from the kitchen came out to see what was going on. I tried to stay calm because I began to feel threatened and reminded her that this is not how you treat customers.
She could have handled the situation much better—perhaps with an apology or even a discount, though that wouldn't have solved my issue. What I needed that day was a quality cake and good customer service. Unfortunately, she ruined a birthday surprise at the last minute, and that's something you can't fix.
After this incident, I found out that some of my friends had ordered from her in the past. Their experience was similar: the design was mediocre, and the cake itself didn't taste good. Fortunately, I didn’t have to experience the taste myself.
She has horrible customer service, a terrible attitude, and needs to improve her cake-decorating skills—or at least not accept orders she...
Read moreI searched all over the area for a bakery or grocery store that would make Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cupcakes for a birthday party I was having. I was either told the other places didn't have anything, they couldn't do anything, or that they could put a plastic kids ring on top of each cupcake for me. I was determined to find someone to work with and wandered into Lilit's Bakery while in Hatboro. I explained what I wanted and Lilit immediately brought a cupcake image up on her phone and told me she could make them for me. She was great to work with and her cupcakes were perfect - the design was great and the carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese filling and topping were excellent. The other things in her bakery looked delicious, as well. I will be going back to sample some of...
Read moreA small but very pretty bakery in Hatboro, down from Lochel’s Bakery and not far from Nonno’s Italian bakery. Admittedly, I stumbled upon Lilit’s Bakery when both Lochel’s and Nonno’s were closed on a weekday afternoon. I wasn’t seeking it out nor did I know it existed, but I am so glad the others were closed (though they’re also great!) because the pastries and sweets here are incredible. I picked up the vanilla honey cake and the “bird milk” cake and both were out of this world good. They also do crepes (sweet & savory) as well as the full list of cafe greats like espresso, cappuccino, etc. Maybe I’m late to the party but this place kind of place blew me away and I’m excited to go back to try their...
