Food was meh. I ordered the chipped beef for breakfast. The quantity was very plentiful, but the chipped beef was more chipped than beef with a lot of gravy but not much beef. The gravy tasted a little burnt. The home fries are actually sliced potatoes that are fried in a skillet (I assume, because that's how I would cook them). My wife ordered the ultimate. Her French toast was good, but the pancakes were hard. The sausage was ok, but the bacon looked like microwave bacon, so she didn't try it. The server wasn't rude, but she wasn't very helpful either. When ordering, my brother wanted the fall C&D, but didn't necessarily know all the options like bacon or sausage, or think of telling her how he wanted his eggs. Instead of asking how he wanted his eggs, she just stared at him. Also, when we finished our meal, we expected her to check us out at the table and waited for 20 minutes until I flagged her down and she her down and she told us we had to pay at the register, which she didn't even come to the table to let us know this. She practically yelled it across the restaurant. On a positive note, she was pretty good with keeping our coffee full initially at least. Overall, it was a meh experience. We won't be...
Read moreMy husband and I have gone here for years, as regulars we have always looked forward to the staff.
However, it has been going downhill within these past few years and especially this previous month or so.
After speaking to one of our favorite cooks from Tigers, who has now been employed at another diner, not only are we appalled by what happens in the kitchen, but also by the service.
Don’t even get me started on management and ownership, talk about ignorance. The owners daughter works for the restaurant, a sweet girl. She not only gets paid but also collects tips. Not only that, but they pool tips here. This is extremely inappropriate given the fact that not all services are equal… therefore not all tips should be.
The attitude from certain waitresses is foul and the food has been coming out cold. Even if the food isn’t up to par, because some days people just make mistakes, the atmosphere just isn’t worth it anymore.
I agree with other reviewers, the drama is ridiculous for a restaurant. Enjoy breakfast at The Energy Station… much better and such an...
Read moreSo I had held off on leaving a review right away, but i think now is a good time. I'm a little picky when it comes to going out to eat. The service is just as important as the food quality to me, and cleanliness is, as they say, next to godliness. So I dined in here about 4 times in the past month. Each time I had a different server, but generally saw the same staff around the place. Everybody is pretty nice here, and either just very kind or even a bit friendly and conversational. I like my homefries well done, and most places fall short of what I like, but not Tigers... and every time. My server always checks in a few times to see if I need anything, and the owner does too, as do the other servers... lots of teamwork making the dream work. But these ladies, they smile, and connect with the customers. I just have to say, it's so pleasant everytime I dine here. I truly have enjoyed everytime I come in. Very glad it's right on my way home, too :-) thank you all for doing what you do,...
