Solid Slice Pizzeria and Pub — Restaurant in Haverhill

I was finally able to get to SOLID SLICE and it was worth the wait. I don’t think we’ll be waiting anymore. Already planning the next trip there. My pictures came out horrible so my apologies. I had to do it quick because my twin toddlers were hungry. Our server was Shawna and she was such a doll. Very patient and kind and very attentive. Even asked if we wanted our picture taken. We started off with a Coors lite and rum and Coke with the beer cheese pretzel appetizer and OMG they were so good! The cheese was absolutely delicious! Paired very well.

Kids got a cheese pizza, I was dying to try the hot roni and wow!!! Sauce was perfect. The perfect amount of hot honey. The cheese reminds me of a place where I used to go before moving to Haverhill (I used to live in Winthrop) I want to say a mixture of biancies and the brown jug. In all honesty. It reminds me me more of the brown jug pizza!! It was incredible. Dough was 100% on point!! Crispy and tasty! It’s hard to find both aslects in my opinion. Husband got the Carribian Cauliflower pizza since he can’t have wheat anymore as of recently. Everything was great. Customer service & food! The atmosphere was all chill vibes. Even with crazy 2 year olds wanting to attempt to run around....

I'm am very much not a fan of the new Grill Next Door (Solid Slice). I ordered the steak and cheese sub because I've heard the pizza isn't that great from multiple sources.

To break the order down.

I got steak and cheese sub with fries. The sub roll seemed very soft and fresh but the meat was so bland and unseasoned, it felt like I was just eating a plain sub roll. The steak needs to be seasoned with atleast some salt and pepper. I would go further and season with garlic/onion powder. There was a very small amount of american cheese. The side of fries were very standard but ok! For 17 bucks I expected a little bit more flavorful, just like how I remembered the Grill Next Door.

The atmosphere was very familiar. Very loud with a sports game on, which isn't a bad thing! I can see hitting this place up on a game day for a few beers. But for food, no way. :(

In my opinion, the food is bleh and prices are too high. I kind of hoped for a Grill Nexst Door 2.0 but it seems they went in a new driection....

We went for lunch today, it was our first visit and we will definitely be back! The drinks were tasty and strong, I got the Mai tai and hubby got a strawberry lemon drop martini, both were great. We started with the wings and chicken tenders for appetizers. They came out hot and very quickly. The sauces were delicious and fresh, you could tell they were made in house. My husband loved them so much he got another order of both and fries for his meal. One of my daughters got the smash burger which she loved. Myself and my other daughter both got the BBQ chicken mac and cheese, it was the best decision! It was cheesy and delicious! Pricing was very reasonable and the quality was impeccable. My husband is VERY picky and can't wait to go back. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The restaurant atmosphere is beautiful. Definitely check...
