Coffee Grinds — Restaurant in Hawaii

Just the sweetest little spot. Absolutely a fantastic find in a place with not so much else going on. We stayed in Ocean View the past week and treated ourselves to coffee everyday and phenomenal breakfast sandwiches most days. The ice for the iced coffee is frozen coffee!! So it doesn’t water it down as it melts. Heaven on earth! The pastries are great, food is so fresh and I literally think about the pesto hours after ive had it. Vibe is IN CHECK. We ordered two veggie wraps, indicating we are vegan, which on the menu had hummus and veggies. We drove half an hour and stopped to eat them and there was Parmesan and pesto in the wrap as well. Parmesan isn’t vegetarian or vegan, so calling it a vegetarian wrap and saying it was suitable to us as vegans was inaccurate. We tried reaching out by phone, email and Instagram to ask about the order and never heard back. We spent $22 on lunch we had to throw away. such a waste.

UPDATE: Heard back from “new management” 3 weeks later apologizing for the mistake, however they won’t provide a refund because it was the previous managements fault. Not sure what that says about...

We went here as the menu had a few vegan options. On asking at the counter what Vegan or Vegetarian options we have the lady just denied saying they dont have anything. We got a very weird stare for asking for options without meat.

We saw on the wall there were Bagel sandwiches and avocado toast so we ordered. The tomato hummus bagel which turned out had really big chunks of chickpea and should not be called hummus. Also for avocado toast, they just toasted the bread and placed a few avocado slices on it. No salt or pepper, no seasonings, absolutely nothing.
