L&L Hawaiian Barbecue — Restaurant in Hawaii

I really dislike L&L food, I think it's pretty awful, however, I left my phone in a friend's car who lives near this location. I live about 90 minutes away... My friend dropped my phone off at this location for me to pick up, as they weren't available to have me pick up from them, they had to work in Kona. I wasn't able to retrieve my phone from this location until almost closing time, and the staff could have closed earlier that evening but they waited until I arrived, and had my phone safe and sound waiting. They even made me tell them my phone number and called it to see that it rang and was mine. I am grateful to the staff here who went above and beyond for me to get my phone back and for keeping it safe until I got there. No food was ordered, no sale of any kind took place, this was all just straight up high vibes and aloha by the crew of this location. Unfortunately, I didn't have any cash for tipping them, but I will be back to do so ASAP, and I want to say mahalo for all your help!! Our family of five from Texas and Oklahoma visited Oahu and the Big Island for Spring Break! We were driving to Hilo to Naalehu and on around to Kona and just happened to see a sign for L&L, so we turned around since L&L is a favorite of my daughters!! They were very busy, but the employees were very friendly and had our order to us very quickly!! The Chicken Fried Rice was quickly a family favorite!! As a matter of fact, we tried eating at another location of L&L because our grandsons wanted the fried rice again but that location did not serve it… Had to go somewhere else. The kalua pork was also delicious!! I owe a special thank you to this place, I forgot my purse and phone here and drove back to Waikoloa, when I realized it and called my phone, one of the managers picked up, she had safely put aside my things and waited for me to call. She was so kind, since we were two hours away now, she gave me the option of either coming back for it the next day or meeting me in Kona since she was going there anyway, we met the next day in Kona and I was so relieved to get all of my belongings back. She refused to take any reward for her kind and honest deed.
