We were on our way to Kona from a tour at Waipi’o Valley and we needed a kick of energy to continue our drive. We made it 5 minutes before closing and it’s such a small, cute drive thru and I’m so happy that we didn’t miss it! I ordered the iced emerald pineapple latte and it was a pleasant surprise! Something a little different that I’m not used to.
My boyfriend, who doesn’t really drink coffee himself, ordered the iced snickers mocha and he LOVED it! The caramel and hazelnut flavor balanced out the chocolate mocha very well. And on the cup was a lovely surprise: a chocolate covered espresso bean! My boyfriend thought it was a chocolate covered raisin (I know, weirdo, right?) and just popped it right into his mouth and boy did he regret not savoring that flavor! Like I said, he is not a coffee drinker but he said it was a flavor that he’ll never forget.
Unfortunately, because we made it right before closing, we couldn’t go back to inquire about it, but Ashley was very responsive on google message when we asked about it. They sell it in 3oz bags, so hopefully, when we make it back to Waimea, we’ll be buying a couple!
All in all, I definitely recommended coming here when you are...

This little shack is located as you enter Waimea from the Hilo direction. Its a small converted trailer.
My brother, sister and nieces each got a drink to sample what we could on the menu.
I got an iced caramel milkcchiatto, brother a ice americano, sister something crazy lol and nieces had their hot chocolates “frozen”
Its nice they were willing to make an item not on the menu for our girls.
My coffee was great, perfect amount of sweetness and the roast was on point. Both the coffee flavor and Carmel shined through.
Another big bonus is its a drive thru operation which makes it easy if you have kids or if its raining.
If you’re in the area i suggest checking them out, esp if you’re headed into Hilo as there aren’t much options after them.
*EDIT: after more consideration I’ve changed my review to 5 stars. And still highly...
Read moreIdk - I love drive through coffee places and I love the creativity of the menu and the tiny touches like a chocolate covered espresso bean on your coffee. I have been coming here weekly and spending $10 for one drink including tip. Fine, pricey but I want to support local businesses. Today I asked for a cup of water for my daughter along with my latte and they wanted to charge $2. I get packaging costs money but it seemed a bit ridiculous to pay $2. drinks are good but given the pricing and this experience I won’t be coming back. (Ya I know it’s only $2 but the principle of spending $10 on one drink and being charged for a small cup of water...
