Panchos Tacos — Restaurant in Hawaii

BEST MEXICAN IN HAWAII! I can't recommend this place enough! We moved to Hawaii after spending 4 months in Mexico and Central America, and have spent the last 5 years stopping at food trucks and restaurants on different islands trying to find authentic flavors.... I've been disappointed every time until finding Pancho's food truck!

They have a huge selection, the portions are super filling and low cost...but the flavor...the flavor is what keeps me coming back! I'm a fiend for spicy food, and they always doctor up my food to make me cry spicy tears of joy. They go out of their way to accommodate your wishes, and I just can't recommend this place highly enough!

In Mexico, the restaurants usually have pickled onions and peppers, and a bunch of different sauces to try, and it's super rare to find that in the US- Pancho's has the pickled onions, and gives at least 1, sometimes 4 little containers of different things with each menu (like guac and sour cream, or hot sauces). Excellent Mexican food in Pahoa, definitely not on my bingo card for my trip to Hawaii. They offer a variety of dishes and protein options, and the price is pretty good considering you’re in the middle of the Pacific. Their horchata is also among the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had quite a bit.
