Pomaika'i Cafe — Restaurant in Hawaii

WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! AND GO GIRLS!!! We are visiting the big island for the first time and are attempting to go around the entire island! Stopped at a beautiful beach and then needed to get some coffee and breakfast! This is a must stop for coffee, their signature iced tea, and baked goods. Definitely must have one of their light and fluffy homemade and made every day cinnamon rolls. And their cinnamon coffee cake…WOW!!!! The gals that work here are so fun and sweet! And be sure to stop next door at their adjoining gift shop for locally made items from the sweet & sassy Priscilla! Love...

I ate here yesterday and the coffee was amazing! This little unassuming cafe had a great sitting area in the back that was clean and very tropical.

I had a ham panini and my husband had a bacon panini. Not only was everything amazingly hot when it arrived at our table it was fresh and to our table in minutes.

Totally worth the mile or 2 drive from Hawi. And the SUPER nice thing is we had the place to ourselves and didn’t have to deal with the crowded place down the road that was standing room only.

Check them out, food was great and it wasn’t crowded. Cute stores in the building...

I have rated many restaurants 5 stars on this vacation so I am not overly negative. This place was terrible. The second star is just for the lovely patio. Too bad the food doesn’t live up. The breakfast sandwiches look and taste like Costco ingredients slapped together, the cinnamon roll was so boring, and the cappuccino not great. The staff was just ok, not overly helpful. I don’t understand all the 5 star ratings, I heard there are new owners, perhaps the 5 stars are for the previous. Given the location on the road to Pololu, they should do better. This is strip mall food...
