Loaded Cow — Restaurant in Hayesville

STINGY!! The ice cream was delicious and the young gals working the counter were great but the owner was SO STINGY we will never return to this business. We were happy to drop $7 per person for an enjoyable treat but when the guy said we could only try one flavor (literally a tiny taste, not even a miniature spoonful) he lost all of our future business. Ice cream establishments should allow a reasonable number of tastes, even if 3-4, for paying customers. Just not the kind of customer service I’ll continue to support!!

Edited to add: the owner responded with the most ridiculous response below and I’d like to assure anyone reading this that we were the only customers in the place. It opened at 1pm and we were there at 1:02. Two adults and three kids (and we bought for a sixth person). As soon as my kids asked for the first taste of something he said they could only have ONE. How is a person to make a choice when they can’t have two options to choose from?!? In reading the other reviews, we can see this is not a one off occurrence. The owner should simply put up a sign that says 3 samples per person maximum....

A Sweet Surprise Worth Stopping For!

We stopped by this ice cream shop today to kill a little time before dropping our daughter off at camp—and wow, what a treat! The variety of creative, made-in-house flavors is impressive and such a rarity these days. You can really tell they take pride in what they do.

One of the highlights? The waffle cones are made fresh and served warm—to order! That alone is reason enough to visit. And they offer a mix of vanilla and chocolate together. Where else can you find that?

There were so many fun, thoughtful touches: color-changing spoons, little sleeves to catch any drips from the warm cones, and a bright, welcoming vibe throughout.

Honestly, I’m a little bummed I won’t be with my husband when he picks our daughter up from camp—just because I won’t get to stop here again! If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and...

Saw the great rating and thought I would try. When I came in it smelled great and the flavors looked appealing. The gentlemen I talked with wasn’t very engaging and after I tried 2 flavors and went to try 1 last one I was told “you just gotta pick one man”. Considering I was the only customer in there, and the prices were by no means inexpensive, I was kinda thrown off. I did think the ice cream was good, however it doesn’t justify the price especially considering I didn’t even know what to get yet.
