Went to San Leandro's Farmer's Market last Wednesday. It is opened from 4-8pm. Saw Alonso's Food stall there. Gotta say, he was really nice, patient and answered all my questions with a smile on his face. He sells breads, assorted pastries, ready made pizzas, empanadas and cookies. You want it, he got it. I bought a seeded baguette and cranberry raisin bread. Both were top notch and delicious! Too bad he doesn't have a retail store, but he also sells at Bayfair's Farmer Market on Saturday...

"Sticky buns" were topped with real honey, "Cinnamon roll" with real tastable cinnamon, fruits taste like fruits, spice tastes like spice and dough is not teeth-chattering sweet; and does not have that slightly bitter-numbing aftertaste. We hope they can continue this "old world" approach to using authentic ingredients and techniques in baked-treats. Very rare find.
