Five Guys — Restaurant in Hayward

Last week my family and I went in to order some lunch and we were greeted by the rudest employee. His name is Luis M. He was at the front register when we walked in and we couldn’t see he was on the phone so we started to ask him a question and he was extremely rude to us. It was shocking to be honest, it caught us off guard and we almost left. His was so unprofessional, not once did he smile. He had a mean look on his face, he looked like he was miserable being there. This should not be the type of person you want to work for your company, let alone being the 1st person you see when you walk in. There are thousands of cooks out there that would love to work for your company, get rid of the cancer. Three other business associates of mine had similar experiences with Luis when they went into that location and 2 of them left. My son likes Five Guys burgers, we used to like in and out but when the patties get smaller until we have to ask “where’s the beef”, then we started to move to Burger King, flame broiled and we could see the meat. We don’t eat burgers often, once a week at the most, so we prefer what tastes the best regardless of prices. Yes, 5 guys regular burgers are $9 here, but it’s worth the money, quite tasty, moist, the cheese do melt, we get everything on it with the same price. The fries is excellent and tasty without using ketchup or anything like that. I can have all types of sodas, especially Dr. Pepper cherry flavor. While we’re waiting for our food to cook, we have salted roasted peanuts for appetizer LOL, quite crunchy and good. I’m glad we have this one close by, better than the one in Fremont, a little way away. Costco is in the same center, which I could fill up the gas afterwards. Store #19 in Hayward CA store manager is not a very professional person. I made an order on line on Christmas Eve. The store website stated that they were going to be open until 8 pm. I placed an order slightly before 7pm. My credit card was charged and when I arrive later at the restaurant, it was closed. Saturday morning I called and the manager Erica stated that she saw the order but they decided to close early. Erica stated that she would contact billing to give me a refund that I should get within 10days. A week later I went to the restaurant and spoke with the manager.
