Village Pizza — Restaurant in Hazlehurst

So for starters I came in with my family and we ordered the salad bar. They use paper plates and to go plates. Idk what stick was up the manager on shifts behind, but when I picked up the to go plate available for my salad this guy decides to come up and smugly tell me that's not how salad bars work. To go plates are not for dine in. Nothing was marked to state what plates are for what. It was just available for use. Mind you we ordered menu entrees as well so it's not like I was taking it out. To continue this joke of a dining experience there was only 1 server and the manager was berating her to do literally everything then proceeded to go cut up with the kitchen staff. This guy not only ignores staff that needed help, but completely ignores serve safe procedures. Cross contaminated products in the salad bar, brown lettuce, and improper food temperatures. This guy needs a health department visit asap. Will never eat in this dump ever again. I feel sorry for the waitress who can definitely take her hard work to...

Called to place an order, no answer! Called right back and a male answered the phone. Tried to place my order, but apparently it’s a problem to add a couple of extra toppings to my salad….even though the employee would ALREADY BE AT THE SALAD BAR MAKING THE SALAD!! I’ve never had a problem in the past with ordering my usual salad over the phone. He proceeds to ask another employee as I mentioned to him it wasn’t an issue before. He said I would have to come inside the restaurant and fix it myself because they only add certain toppings for over the phone orders!!! No genius, that’s why I called the order in so I wouldn’t have to go inside!!! It’s beyond me why it’s such a problem to add 2 more toppings when you’re already at the bar!!!!!!!! You just can’t find GOOD help these days and it’s sickening!!! Needless to say I canceled the order because the employees are to sorry to accommodate...

The food and service was great. My husband and I have been trying to find a good place to eat pizza since our favorite place in out town closed and we have found it. The pizza was delicious and the salad bar was wonderful as well. Everything was fresh and stayed stocked well. The pork skins that the waitress suggested was also great and they are cooked right there, they are not bagged, they are fresh. I can not remember the young lady that waited on us tonight, Saturday, February 23, 2019, but she was absolutely wonderful. She was very friendly, very prompt and attentive. My husband was picking on her about that she needed to dye her head blue, pink or purple to stay in the times, but she told him no that was not for her. It wad a pleasure to be waited on by her.
