Now I don’t always take the time But this experience earned a review. After sending back dumplings because the center was Cold, they clearly just microwaved it and sent it back. Then both meals came out as if this $75 meal was PeiWei’s discardedj food at the end of the night. My plate of ice-cold chicken, mixed into tasteless noodles dripping of oil, And that was the better of the two meals. And the food was the good part. The server, as nice as she was, was new and received no support from a manager or sr staff. We sent send back our uneaten meals and the check came, I assumed a manager would come by but instead they ignored us and the server leaves the bill, I looked at the bill, Wow I just spent 75 bucks and was about to head home hungry, it was quite bizarre so I waited a few minutes assuming the manager would come by. No one came so I went to talk to the kid at the register who claimed to be the manager. He was super defensive right off the bat. So I asked to talk to the manager he says he’s it. So I asked for the owner or a general managers. He refused with contempt and pointed out that no one else is sending food back and that the issue was me. I’m really not a hard guy to please 99% of the time. I travel and eat in literally hundreds a restaurants a year. I’ve come to understand that service is usually OK, rarely great and rarely bad and never worth getting upset over. But in this case it was worth at least sharing. Maybe there are not doing well financially or there some drama going on but in this case the way they handles it was not good. It could have been a completely different outcome. Simply an acknowledgment of the situation would have turned this into a review of how well they responded to adversity. Note to owner, the kid is not ready to manage lead or for that matter talk to guests. It not a ton of money but 75 bucks is still 75 bucks I worked hard for. You hung the shingle and you presented the food, its on you not me to make it worth my 75 buck. As someone else pointed out it would have been nice to have a decent place to grab sushi or Asia food. Unfortunately...
Read moreThis is our second day in a row eating here. 🍜. Last night we had the yakisoba and teriyaki steak. We devoured it which is why we have no photos of it in my review. Let’s just say the food here is amazing 🍱 I can’t even remember the last time we had such delicious Japanese cuisine. I mean cmon they even had tamago!!! 🍣
The food is packed with flavor. It is exactly as I remember. The place we went to before moving to this area closed because the chef moved back to Japan. And the taste is so similar, that the food literally melts in your mouth (no soy sauce needed).
Today we got the bento box. Chicken Katsu and chicken teriyaki. I am very biased, so I loved the Katsu and shared with my husband. He ate both the teriyaki and finished off my Katsu. Oh and did I mention the vegetable tempura? It’s an appetizer but could also be a meal. 🥟 the gyoza came with a sauce that enhanced the already flavorful dumpling. The miso soup was warm and refreshing (almost like a comfort food). I can’t tell you enough how amazingly delicious this place is. It is now our favorite spot to eat. We got the lunch to go (called and ordered ahead).
Can’t recommend this place enough. You will not be disappointed. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Edit: I apologize for the almost fully eaten miso soup picture. But another reviewer said there was no tofu in the miso. But there is a lot of tofu in the miso soup. So I am refraining from finishing my delicious miso soup 🥣 just for the photo of tofu proof or should I...

The rolls were phenomenal—especially the Sweetheart Roll and Kamikaze Roll. Each bite was a perfect combination of fresh fish and creative flavors, making every roll feel like a special treat. The Chicken Hibachi was also a standout, cooked to perfection with that irresistible smoky flavor that only a skilled hibachi chef can achieve.
We can't forget to mention the Vegetable Tempura—crispy, light, and bursting with the natural flavors of each vegetable. It was the perfect start to our meal, leaving us eager for everything that followed.
Blue Koi is a gem that we're thrilled to have discovered, and we can't wait to go back for more of their incredible rolls and hibachi dishes. Highly...
