As a shipt shopper who works full time grocery shopping for other people, I’m completely disheartened at the utter disrespect I received from this business today. Anybody who works in the service industry can understand that receiving a $5 tip on a $475 order is crazy. I had to push 2 FULL shopping carts of grocery items for this coffee shop’s order (1 cart containing 19 gallons of milk and over 30 cartons of heavy whipping cream). Just sad to think you put in so much effort to make things right for people and they treat you so poorly in return. Really makes me wonder if their employees are underpaid. To any fellow shipt shoppers, absolutely DO NOT accept any orders from this business!
Reply to Owner’s Response: No need to teach me a lesson on how gratuity works, I worked in a restaurant for 9 years so I’m fully capable of understanding how tips are granted. And as the saying goes, if you can’t afford to tip your server, then you can’t afford to go out to eat. In other words, if you can’t afford someone to grocery shop for you, then get your own groceries!! It is morally wrong to request a shipt shopper to go through the hassle of pushing 2 full shopping carts at the same time to gather grocery items (in bulk) to restock your coffee shop’s inventory, especially without adequately compensating them for the services they provide for your business. It’s funny how you accuse your shipt shopper of not being considerate of financial situations at home. Did you at all stop to think about how your lack of compensation directly impacts the people that provide these services for you? IT GOES BOTH WAYS. You’re saying that just because you own a small business in a bad economy makes it totally okay to screw over independent contractors who are just as equally negatively impacted by this economy as you are?! I work for way less than minimum wage and heavily rely on gratuity to make up for it. Not to mention I paid for my own gas to transport your groceries from H-E-B. I hope whoever reads this review sees the writing on the wall with how much this business cuts corners just to stay afloat. The owner needs a HUGE reality check.
And FYI, as a business owner, you should know by now that responding to negative reviews in a rude and condescending way that avoids any sort of accountability is probably not the smartest idea in terms of maintaining an overall positive image of the company. Oh well! I wish...

Pro: Great Coffee Beans to buy.
Cons: Not so much of a coffee shop when they don’t check coffee station dispenser for on the house, and refuse to make more when there’s 3 and half hours left before closing. Terrible to-go hot coffee cups. I got burnt numerous times when the lid popped off numerous times. Especially when they made americano with past boiling point temperature. But got replacement cup, later replacement cup has started to leak out before I even drink, but the cup was sturdy and secure. Lot of coffee came out and soak up the rag. Not sure who it was, one of the staff went up to the staff to call her out about the mistakes in front of numerous customer and while serving.
Suggestion: learn to use french press coffee, get better coffee cup, pull the coffee dispenser that are empty, and retrain in professional mannerism by pulling the staff behind the scenes and away from the customer from overhearing and experiencing awkwardness during service.
This is the second time of terrible service. The first time was when all dispenser are near empty. But staff tells me to mix them together. This place was one of my favorite places to go but lately...
