Los Toribio — Restaurant in Henderson

I walk in, the decor is really nice. At face value it looks like an authentic Mexican restaurant. However, the hostess is not friendly, I figure she was having a bad day so I cut her a break. However, her service continued to be terrible. She did a poor job of listening. Or creating a welcoming vibe. I should have asked her if everything was alright. I order my food, and the cook comes out and serves me. Even he was rude. I was like okayyy. But I think, let's give them a shot. The chips were cheap dollar store tortilla chips. A big no no for Mexican. The salsa was way too spicy, and had a strange after taste. I ordered crispy beef tacos. The meat was dry and flavorless. I ate 1 out of 3 tacos. And only reason why I finished the 1st one was because i wanted to give them a good shot. I tell the server, I didn't think the food was good, that I will pay for 1 taco, but not the entire plate. She tries forcing me to pay for food that wasn't good. The cook come and speaks to me and tries forcing me to pay, since I ordered the food was his reason. Ummm no, there is a reason why you pay at the end of the meal and not before. Paying represents the cook did an adequate job. Instead of the chef or the server insisting on making things right or asking for feedback. They tell me to " get out " like im a criminal or something... I wasn't rude or anything. Went to eat on a Wednesday night at 6:30 and thought it was weird that no other vehicles We're here... Went inside and got seated right away. ( The waiter informed us he was having his supper) Ordered two drinks and a margarita. Chips came out shortly after.. took my a minute to figure out what I wanted but waiter still hadn't come back. Finally after debating whether we should wait or just pay for our drinks and go, he came back (close to 10 minutes) we ordered our food and my son had already drink his tea and my boyfriend had finished his margarita. No one came back by I ended up sharing my dr. Pepper with them until our food got there ... This time it was a woman bringing the food and I had to ask her for their refills(my boyfriend getting a tea this time). Food was decent (a ton of onions on everything). And no more chips (?) halfway through our meal my son finished his drink again and had to share mine.. we finished and got to go boxes (and asked if we wanted refills) went to pay and it was $66!!! I know our meals were $14, $14, and $12. They charged us for each refill, and for the two orders of rice (that says on the menu it comes with the meals) all together, I would not recommend going there and I know we...

Never has a chance to actually dine here. Went for Lunch with the family. Managed to get our drinks, then chips and salsa about 5 minutes later. About 10-12 minutes after, was approached by the server (owner), asked a few questions, he retrieved a full menu, then walked away from my table. Watched for another 8-10 minutes as he served, no less than, 3 other tables without even checking back with ours.
