Mr D's — Restaurant in Henderson

Omg! I finally got the chance to try Mr. D’s. From the moment I arrived in Henderson my friend has been talking about how great the burgers at Mr. D’s are. Today was the day I finally got to try one.

Upon pulling in, it puts you in the mindset of Sonic. You pull up, press the button, and place your order. The menu has a variety of options which adds to the individualistic approach of this spot. Due to the menu it’s more than just a burger joint.

I decided to get the Bacon Cheeseburger Basket with a Sweet Tea!

Babeeeeeeeeeeeeee. When I tell you this Sweet Tea was THE BOMB!!!!! I’m talking steeped, sweet, and refreshing. It definitely satisfied my sweet tea desire and that’s not an easy task. LoL.

The Bacon Burger was an experience. The beef was quality meat, well seasoned and perfectly grilled. The bacon was thick sliced and well done. The fixings of the burger were fresh and didn’t make the bread soggy. Furthermore, it was just the right amount of lettuce and tomatoes… The burger didn’t come with condiments on it so make sure you ask for them if you desire.

The fries were crinkled which is my personal favorite. They were crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Golden fried and good all by themselves. No salt or ketchup was needed.

Mr. D’s was a mouth pleasing, hunger satisfying experience. I’m glad I had the opportunity to try it out and I definitely recommend if you’re in the area and in the mood for a good burger to stop by.

had to wait a very long time for my food, which I saw them place on the counter inside waiting for the server to come in and pick up, but she was busy having a nice leisurely discussion with her friends in the car next to me, it actually took people inside banging on the window to get her attention, she then picked up my order from inside which by now had been sitting there for a good 10 minutes, but instead of bringing it to me, she actually took my order to her friends car next to me and finished her conversation before bringing me my order, I paid, even tipped her, then drove home, where of course everyone complained about the stone cold food. I called to complain to the manager which to my surprise turned out to be the same person who served me. she did apologize and took my name and said I could get the meal replaced then or at a future time, fast forward a week, I call to find out about getting my "replacement" order and am promptly told NO. this place sucks dont...

This place is an absolute jewel! Their burgers are probably the best that you can get in Henderson. They have that right amount of crust that you’re looking for on a good burger. Melted cheese bacon all the fixings you ask for it they’ll put it on there. My wife absolutely loves their tenderloin sandwich. On Texas toast it does not disappoint. I don’t know if their french fries are any good, because we can’t seem to stay away from the tater tots. Real crispy on the outside with that smooth potato inside. They know how to cook the tater tots! If you’re looking for something to get you started the fried mushrooms are a little spicy but really good. And don’t forget the chicken below, oh Colonel Sanders knows nothing compared to Colonel Jim.
